People V King

Eric L. VanDussen

Recommended Posts

On October 14, 2010, Michigan's Court of Appeals denied my request to film the oral arguments, in People v King, which are scheduled to be heard on November 4, 2010. I've attached below my emergency motion for reconsideration.

Matt Abel is representing the defendant in this Medical Marihuana case that was dismissed by the Circuit Court and then appealed by the prosecutor. The Circuit Court dismissal order is also attached.

Is there anything the rest of us can do to help in the process? If not is there something we can start working on to help with making sure future arguments in front of the court are able to be chronicled via electronic recording?

Thanks for all the leg work and research you do for the community, it is very much appreciated.

That was a great read. I feel so much better personally from reading it and I'm on the edge of my seat like anyone paying attention to this landmark case. Clearly the people and the circuit courts have spoken. Wouldn't media coverage secure the interests of all parties concerned?

to hot a topic with money interests saying who and what gets coverage

They base their whole argument on the definition of facility? I wounder how many dictionaries the prosecution read until they found a narrow enough definition to server their purpose?

Often, facilities.

something designed, built, installed, etc., to serve a specific function affording a convenience or service: transportation facilities; educational facilities; a new research facility.

something that permits the easier performance of an action, course of conduct, etc.: to provide someone with every facility for accomplishing a task; to lack facilities for handling bulk mail.

a building or place that provides a particular service or is used for a particular industry; "the assembly plant is an enormous facility"

Something created to serve a particular function

the means or equipment facilitating the performance of an action

a building, special room, etc. that facilitates or makes possible some activity: a new facility for outpatient treatment

A building or place that provides a particular service or is used for a particular industry; "the assembly plant is an enormous facility".

Services and space and equipment provided for a particular purpose

Something designed and created to serve a particular function and to afford a particular convenience or service.

Every dictionary includes a definition that would include KP's dog pen as a facility. Even their diction uses the term ect., which could include place or structure.

You have a reporter working hard on your case.

You have many people that read this thread, just to keep up with the latest news on your case.

Please don't assume that you aren't important to people here.

BTW .. the dog kennel was a good idea. I use it myself. Makin' hay while the sun shines :)
