It looks like Arizona is likely to be the 15th medical cannabis state, with

around 124 state-licensed dispensaries! The count isn't quite over but I

think this is looking very, very good...

Arizona pot measure pulls ahead by 4,421 votes

Vote counts released Friday show a measure that would legalize medical

marijuana in Arizona pulling ahead for the first time since Election Day.

Proposition 203 is ahead by 4,421 votes out of more than 1.63 million votes

counted. The measure started out losing by about 7,200 votes on Nov. 2 and

the gap gradually narrowed in the following 10 days.

The measure began Friday losing by about 1,500 votes.

The vast majority of outstanding votes were in Maricopa County on Friday

morning. The county says it counted about 30,000, provisional ballots during

the day. County Recorder Helen Purcell says those were leaning toward

supporters and the totals released Friday evening backed that up.

Only about 10,000 early and provisional ballots remain to be counted in

Maricopa County.

Anyone know if our cards will be valid there?

As always you will have to apply in your resident state. Residency is always a prerequisite.

Can't grow if you live within 25 miles of a dispensary? Looks like we will get The Dispensary State Model. You will have to live in Bum Frick Egypt to grow your own. Nothing like taking the little grower right out of your competition. Looks like 'Big Cannabis' rules in Az... like Big Oil.

17. "VISITING QUALIFYING PATIENT" MEANS A PERSON:

(a) WHO IS NOT A RESIDENT OF ARIZONA OR WHO HAS BEEN A RESIDENT OF ARIZONA LESS THAN THIRTY DAYS.

(b) WHO HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH A DEBILITATING MEDICAL CONDITION BY A PERSON WHO IS LICENSED WITH AUTHORITY TO PRESCRIBE DRUGS TO HUMANS IN THE STATE OF THE PERSON’S RESIDENCE OR, IN THE CASE OF A PERSON WHO HAS BEEN A RESIDENT OF ARIZONA LESS THAN THIRTY DAYS, THE STATE OF THE PERSON’S FORMER RESIDENCE.

OK Just found out that visiting patients can't buy from the dispensaries though. Guess they don't like carpetbaggers either. LOL What is bought in Arizona will stay in Arizona. Can't touch that.
