Can Beans Expire?

A friend of mine gave me 10 beans. The strain is blackberry. I will not be able to start to germ. them for at least another 6-8 weeks. As long as i keep them in the dark and at room temp, will they be okay? Thanks in advance.

Perfectly fine, thats not a real long time. Maybe some rice to keep the moisture away.

just read a thread where a guy popped a 20 year old bean on the farm. i know others who have done the same. 6-8 weeks is nothing like everyone else said have no fear!

They are Nirvana feminized. Is that still good?

yeah, so long as you are wise about seed storage, and watch the humidity and temp control, a lot of seeds can be viable for years and even decades. Shoot, they have been able to sprout seed found in ancient digs from centuries ago! Beaners store well.. it's weed seed after all, and those types of seeds are often the heartiest, even with a lot of breeding put into the seed for domestic use.
