Cheapest Medical Cert

Recommended Posts

there have been posts about "marijuana for life" read up first

Yes, be sure to do your research. Some places have hidden charges or some kind of catch. Be sure to ask about their pricing before you go. I got certified at Southlake Medical Group. They are straight forward with no tricks.

Certifications for $75 thru 12-15-10 at 313-278-8600 in Lincoln Park (Detroit) at Marijuana fo Life (requires coupon from page 77 in Metrotimes).

I need to correct my post and call it the BAIT AND SWITCH scamaroo that it really is. The 2 friends I referred both report that when they called Marijuana For Life in Lincoln Park at 313-278-8600 and said they had the coupon out of Metrotimes and wanted to schedule the $75 cert they were told by the very nice girl young that the certification was $75--plus $25 "processing fee," so they needed to bring $100 to get certified.

I apologized to them and I apologize to you, I posted what was printed in the Marijuana For Life ad in the Metrotimes paper and now have verifed they are B + S scammers with a big four-color very impressive ad.

I got mine done with my medicair, didnt make me pay copay either,,so i figured id just send the state the 100 bucks since i didnt have to pay for oringinal app or renewall,,dont feel like being scrutinized if i only pay 25 to state like first time!

If you have all the records and have not discussed it with your reg dr. Or if you know your dr. dont agree with mm, i suggest asking around for a dr in family practice! That is just how I would go, if you truly want to be legitamate! (not saying anything bad about dr.'s in traveling clinics) I just prefer to go to one dr., It took me a few before I found one mm friendly! but I got one and feel I wont have a prob when it comes to a dr's recomendation, call me paranoid! but I think the traveling dr's are gonna be restricted soon. only makes sense, either that or they just need to make weed legal for all of voting age!

Peace

Perhaps your question should not be just about price. I don't go to that area but before you get your cert from the lowest bidder, perhaps you might want to find out if they are professional, require records, make a chart, and give follow up so you don't run afoul of the Redden criteria. A signature card with no backing that doesn't keep you out of jail is not worth the paper it is written on. Too often patients only look at the price and don't think to ask if the doc has a DEA and a clean record and can/will defend them. Selling signatures is cheap, putting a professional reputation on the line for YOU the patient is worth something too.

If you don't mind risking legal problems, if you don't believe a certification should be a professional physician visit, then by all means go for the cheapest cattle call you can find. Otherwise, pick a certification clinic like you would pick a cancer specialist if you had cancer. A little thought and cost now picking your certification doctor could save you headache/heartache and expense of picking the right criminal defense attorney later.

Thanks for the kind words and I am here to help folks. It is not a compassion center, it is a REGULAR MEDICAL OFFICE with reasonable charges for cash patients in Mt. Pleasant. If it is economically viable, it is the first of about 9 throughout the state. I need help in the form of interested Physician Assistance/Nurse Practitioners if anyone knows some. See the announcement in the Patient Issues Forum under Dr. Bob in Mt. Pleasant.

I agree with your statements as far as patients need a doctor that will “have their back”. And I know price is of concern for most of us, but what good is a low price if you don’t get what your are paying for?

In the time I have been involved in this movement I have learned a great deal. One thing that comes to mind is things are not always as they appear or sound. And everything you read is not always the truth. I have seen many in the movement that have been swayed by the mighty dollar. They entered in with the best of intentions but later lost their way. Now days I tend to reserve my opinions till I REALLY know someone. I watch their actions not their words. Sometimes little things can clue you in on what a person is really like. For instance: something like trying to upstage someone for personal gain. Or using another person or groups name to reap rewards on their hard work and efforts. This happened to our compassion club awhile back and is still going on in parts of the state. I don’t take it too personally though. After all Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. And there is always that little thing called Karma or what ever you want to call it.

And then there is loyalty. Loyalty to patients by their signing doctor and loyalty to a doctor or clinic by the patient. I know in this day and age its hard to make a buck. And some people may feel they need to play as many fields as they can to just get by. But in the long run I want my doctor to “have my back” and I will have his / hers. I think the doctor patient relationship is just that a relationship. Not solely a business proposition. I have even heard of people being paid to bring in patients. I myself have never been paid to bring in patients to a certain clinic. I will however bring in patients to see a doctor I trust and have a relationship with. I sure would not want my tombstone reading “he made a buck on every friend”. I like to help people because it’s the right thing to do.

I am certain if people search they too can find a good doctor-patient relationship at a fair price. And actually get is some cases more than they paid for.

That being said ^^^^

I have personally seen Dr.Bob at 3-4 CC meetings, at least one City Counsel meeting and know of him traveling all over the state doing clinics..

While Dr.Bob isn't the cheapest out there, he's doing more for the community than most (and I'm just siteing what little I see in our TINY little town)... In my eyes, that's deserving..

And you know, if you have a municipal/local airport, he'd likely do a clinic near you too...

(Yes, the flying Dr..!!)

My primary care doctor 15 copay with my insurance. The cheapest I found. For you. Try green trees in Detroit 100.00 dollars in Dec no bull bunny muffin.. or Dr Graves Mt Morris 100.00 all the time. Good luck!!

I heard Dr Graves is no longer in Mt. Morris, can anybody tell me if this is true?

Just don't go to this clinic.....

There is a clinic in Detroit called Michigan Medical Marijuana Network located at 17807 W. 7mile Rd..They tell you the cost of the certification and also what to bring ...But what they don't tell you is that (1) everyone gets approved for this cheap fee, but you have to use their caregivers you can't choose your own that you pick and is comfortable with and if you want to use your caregiver then your caregiver will have to pay them $300 to be your caregiver thru their network plus they will have to pay for your exam..And if you don't ask about this they don't tell you. you just go in and fill out the application that they then send off for you with your documents and then add a caregiver from their network without you knowing or even approving it. But if you so happen to ask they say you have to go with there caregiver or you don't get certified thru them..Where do these people get off trying to take our rights to choose our caregivers and then trying to charge and outrageous fee if you choose your own caregiver with their examination for certification...
