Sure is propaganda and I wouldn't vote for I 502 knowing it contains a 5 ng impairment limit for driving the same as zero tolerance for all practical purposes . The blood tests can not distinguish accurately when one last smoked despite claims to the contrary nor is there any known level that represents impairment in all individuals for cannabis or any other FDA medications .Experts admit their never will be in our lifetimes .

 

Disabled people to often can't pass roadside sobriety tests period on gimp legs and FDA medications effecting the eyes in spite of driving just fine with their symptoms temporarily relieved . There is a known 15% false positive and negative rate now with the cutoff for most pre employment screens at 50 nanograms . Most daily users consuming the normal amounts given under the Compassionate Use Act of the Federal Government every 25 days( 9 ozs ) would find patients with a constant therapeutic blood level over 100 nanograms . Normal high dosing for marinol is 20 ng and it has been legal for decades with no known problems .

 

The only accurate measure of a problem would be actual accident records and they simply do not show to be on a increase in the States with medical cannabis laws in fact in 7 of the first 10 fatalities dropped since inception .

 

The bottom line is we are all patients and we have issues . We have to self evaluate hourly or more frequently and use our abilities or rest them accordingly . Concentrate on driving do not use cell phones or become involved in other distractions , have your seat belt on and radio set how you want it before moving . Make sure your registration and proof of insurance is up to date in the car , in the same place , at all times . Check your vehicles equipment often and keep it in good repair . Obey all traffic laws especially the speed limits avoiding contact with law enforcement and never use in your vehicle even if its a motorhome buy a tent . Be careful out there ! And if you can find a copy say the Cannabis Drivers Prayer once in a while it can't hurt .

Sorry, I cant agree with their implication on the Cannabis use, KD.

 

I dont think its effects are as incapacitating as coffee or tea .

Must be the "Terrible Carnage" starts at above 20 ng. I have noticed the huge amount of bloodied corpses and burned out hulks that used to be automobiles littering the streets around the dispensaries. Now I know the cause.
