Why Are There No Photos On The Card?

Hi all, 

 

I've had my card for a little while now and I've always been curious as to why there is no photo shown on the card even though there is a space for one. Does anyone know why this is? And does anyone actually have a photo on their card? I've yet to see a card with a photo on it. It seems to me that it would be easy enough for the state to pull DMV photos or something.

someone once said because the law requires you to provide a photoid with the card. thats why.

Prevents counterfeit cards, harder to counterfeit two id's opposed to one..

Well, at first their machine couldn't print photos properly,... then MDCH and Secretary of state could not share pics,... then LARA said they didn't want to do it,... then the legislature just said your marijuana card must be accompanied with another ID.

The printer is lucky it kicks out a card in 2 months............ Let's not overload it.............

If you see a Registry ID card with a photo on it, walk away.

there is no photo because you have to have a state issued photo id to go with the card.  there was a effort to require patients to submit passport style photos with their application, but it was negotiated away as too burdensome for the patients.

Just renewed card so got two years before getting photo on card.

Believe a card holder can ask for a new card if they want photo on the card.

Not me as I will wait for next card.
