Moving To Jackson, Mi?

One thing to consider is the stores and restaurants. If you go north they practically shut down the town in the winter. Do a little search for the businesses you like to have near your home before you decide. Who wants to drive an hour to get supplies? I don't.

That's funny, I live just south of the Mac bridge and the only stores that shut down in the winter up here are the tourist traps....

Once you have lived in the sticks for a while you get used to the limited selection of goods and services. I'm spoiled these days. We have tons of stores and restaurants within 5 miles. I can walk to a Home Depot, Menards, Walmart, Meijer, Red Lobster, 4 Mexican Restaurants, 3 Chinese restaurants, 4 grow shops, a mall, 6 strip malls, concert venues, river walk, 5 marinas, the list goes on and on and on. Just depends on what you are wanting to live near. I thought it was a good heads up for someone moving to Michigan. There are dead zones that might be a little boring for some life styles.
