I PROPOSE that we form a list with the help of MMMA for people who WANT to be on a list, so leo knows who is legal and who is not without a big hassel from leo acting like gang busters with guns drawn. Those who don't want to be on the list, let them fight it out with leo!!! MMMA could form a list of caregivers and patients that with our permission can be given to leo so we can sleep without being afraid of getting raided!!

On a list , man that like having a toe tag on yer foot. I simply walked in a city that I didn't live in never gave a name... and asked why would you guys come into my home?

That's a GREAT idea! Is there such a thing as a local narcotics unit? How big of an area do they cover? Try working WITH leo instead of HIDING from them!!! If your legal you have nothing to be afraid of!

working with LEO is the best way to go about it in my beliefs, I belive if they see what I have then why raid me they already know and hopefully they will shoot me some good advice on how to keep my supply on the DL so i wont have any incidents with the public or any one for that matter.

I don't feel it is a matter of "being within the law" or "being compliant".

LEO is supposed to stop any raid (which I know they aren't doing) upon finding out the person is registered with the MMMP. You have a valid card? Have a good day. As I understand it, the database at MDCH isn't even supposed to go by name. It is supposed to be accessed by number first, and then the information we authorized will come up. Not the other way around.

I am currently working on a plan to address PA's (all) in MI on what the law is and how it is to be viewed.

You see LEO wont take a case to a PA unless PA will push the case forward. They do talk believe it or not. Yes LEO needs to be informed too, but talking to them will do little good if the PA's are saying bring us any M case. Or if Judges are handing out search warrants like candy for MM. So lets do this right. IMHO John Wells

SACRAMENTO -- The California Highway Patrol has stopped confiscating all medical marijuana during traffic stops, following a U.S. Supreme Court ruling in June that left intact a state law allowing the drug to be used for medicinal purposes.

 

The policy change was a victory for medical marijuana advocates, namely the Oakland-based Americans for Safe Access, which sued the CHP and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger earlier this year to have the practice stopped.

 

The group's executive director, Steph Sherer, said it would send a "clear message" that patients' rights need to be protected.

 

"Our hope is this will ripple around the state," she said.

 

CHP officers were told in an Aug. 22 bulletin of the new policy, which now allows patients traveling on state highways to have as much as 8 ounces of marijuana if they had a certified user identification card or written approval from a physician.
