I just wanted to give a shout out to the legandary Bob Marley. 30 years after you lost your fight with cancer your still loved, after all you may be gone but you and your influence are far from forgotten. One world One love.

For those of you who dont remeber the extent of his influence or just want a breif tour down memory lane heres a quick link to help remedy that

Wow it's been 30 years. He had a lot of wisdom and LOVE. :) Oh how this world has changed since then.

One of my favorite lines from him is, "Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds."

That's the first line that came to mind for me also, but he was full of poetic, inspiring lyrical beauty:

Most people think great God will come from the sky

Take away ev'rything, and make ev'rybody feel high

But if you know what life is worth

You would look for yours on earth

And now you see the light

You stand up for your right, yeah!

Get Up, Stand Up, stand up for your right

Rise up this morning

smiled with the rising sun

three little birds

pitch by my door step

singing sweet songs

of melodies pure and true

saying, this is my message to you:

don't worry about a thing,

cause every little thing

is gonna be all right

Let them all pass all their dirty remarks

There is one question I'd really love to ask

Is there a place for the hopeless sinner

Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own beliefs?

Bob Marley is on a very short list of people who have, with only a few words, caused such a shock to my previous world view that I was forced to instantly and permanently change how I look at the world.

Thanks, Bob. It's a shame we hardly knew you.

Bob Marley played a big part in shaping me into the man I am today. I keep a small book of his sayings on my desk close to hand. When my spirit needs to be lifted I pick it up and start reading from it. Truly an inspiring and dearly missed man. Here are several of my favorites, RIP Bob.

What we really want

is the right to be right

and the right to be wrong

Overcome

the devils

with

a thing

named love

One love, one heart,

let's get together and feel alright,

as it was in the beginning,

so it shall be in the end.

The rain is falling,

and I just can't stop calling...

and I just can't tell the raindrops

from the teardrops

that's falling on my face.
