My Friends 2 Yr Old Is Sick

Recommended Posts

So I feel terrible today, a close buddy of mine informed me that his 2 yr old son has a brain tumor :(

I tried to explain to him that he should try Simpson Oil, I have heard so many positive stories that I feel its worth a shot, How does he acquire RSO?

Hes not rich, neither am I but his son is sick and could die.. and I just got off the phone with him (the father) he is so torn up he said some pretty drastic things about what he would do if he lost his son... makes me tear up.. Are there still people out there that provide this medicine for free to people that cannot afford it? or take donations even if its small amounts, whatever we can put together to help his son?

Thanks for listening, keep him in your prayers.. I know he has to go back to the Dr's this week.. I hope that I can find a way to provide him with much needed medicine to give him a chance at seeing 3 yrs old

He told me they have another appointment this week..(not sure the status of the tumor) I mentioned to him about trying RSO, said to him what can it hurt??

He said he is willing to do anything at this point to save his child's life.. (and possibly his own)

We will no more after his next appointment, But the tumor is there no denying that..

No he is not "legal" But he definitely is in need of medicine, I'm sure the father will do w/e is necessary to make this happen.

But I'm not sure waiting to become "legal" is going to be good for his child.. tumors can double in size in just days.. and the paperwork can take weeks/months on its own.

This was just brought to my attention moments before I posted the thread, so its still early, and the tumor was discovered a week ago from what I understand.

It sounds like all his parents know at this point is TUMOR. Not all tumors are cancerous.  I totally understand the desperation of a parent with a sick child, but illegally providing oil to a 2 year old without even been knowing he has cancer seems a bit premature and unwise.

Imagine the desperation of parents dealing with CPS/the court system for giving a 2 year old a "controlled substance" without consulting a physician, without even confirming cancer,

I can't imagine many wanting to involve themselves in providing oil to a 2 year old that isn't legal or even confirmed.  They could be placing themselves at HUGE risk.

My advise would be to have his parents speak to his physicians about it.  I do not know of any doctor here in Michigan that would sign for a 2 year old unless his primary doctor or specialist agrees to the treatment.  If his doctor agrees and signs the first recommendation, your likely to find a 2nd doctor to agree.

I am pretty certain that there are less than 5 children under the age of 10 in Michigan that have been approved for MMJ.

Please keep us updated as they learn what is going on.

They just found a tumor on my mother's pancreas last week.  She went in and had a CAT scan and MRI.  The tumor is benign and she isn't in danger.  I was worried that she might follow in my footsteps with pancreas problems and I didn't want my mother going through that kind of pain.  Most of the time I feel like I have a fence stabbed through my chest.

I guess I just posted this to say that there is hope and it might turn out the tumor is either not a problem, or can be fixed.  I hope so anyway.  My best wishes and thoughts go out to your friends.

Couldn't have said it better.  You can bet that you would be slammed HARD if you are caught illegally providing a controlled substance to a 2 year old.

Remember that not all tumors are malignant and not all malignant brain tumors are inoperable.  I would urge restraint until the facts come in.  It is very easy to get emotionally involved in a case like this.

If you have heard the radio personality "Bald Bryan" from the Adam Carolla Show podcast then you know that some brain tumors respond well to traditional treatment.  Bald Bryan was part of the MTV show "Loveline" on the late 90s.  In 2009 he was diagnosed with an inoperable glioma in his brain stem.  He was given 6 to 12 months to live.  Not only is he alive and well today, but his tumor has shrunk and has been kept in check with treatment.  He now pretty much goes about life in a normal way.

You need to talk your friend off the ledge and let him know that there are options.  One step at a time.  See what the child's actual status is and explore the treatment options available.

True True, Like I said I just posted after I heard what was happening.

Pre mature, slightly yes, But I figured I would find out the possibilities of obtaining a treatment in the instance that this is life threatening.

Better safe then sorry, I don't know how long it would take to obtain RSO if the results came back poorly thus first thing that came to mind was to start gathering information for him.

I know the risks involved with children, especially a unregistered one, to me his life is more important. I know for certain his family would do anything to keep him safe legal or not..

Nothing is set in stone, and as they wait for results they just want to explore all options.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes and your concerns.. For sure will continue to update, hopefully with positive news.

"Keeping him safe" is a bit dramatic in this instance.

I can see "jumping the gun" when a child is sick and becoming emotionally distraught.

With that said - Anyone that would consider giving RSO to a 2 year old without some solid, confirmed diagnosis is not thinking clearly.  I am a grown adult and even tiny dosages of RSO greatly impact me.  It is not something to guess on especially when you are dealing with a toddler.  I know there are a few instances of its use in young children but there is not much for comparison.

I hate to see children suffer.  I can honestly say there is nothing in the world I hate more.........

You may be willing to break the law and use your friends child as a "guinea pig", but I doubt there are many that would be able to help you in this circumstance.

When a child has a tumor/cancer/severe illness they run so many tests on the child to rule out many things and to monitor certain levels.  A physician would be required to report illegal drugs in a 2 year old to the authorities.  I am not saying it is right in every circumstance, I am just stating fact.  Can you imagine having to defend that to Child Protective Services, then to the judge?  I guarantee there is no defense to giving a 2 year old a controlled substance, no matter how natural it may be without becoming legal/having a medical defense.

Have them get a solid diagnosis, go through the proper procedures to get him legal and I am sure there will be several people willing to help.

I completely understand what your saying, just exploring all option's.

If hes going to do it regardless the least I can do is look into finding a safe way to acquire the meds.. If the tumor turns out to be life threatening The "legal" way of chemo and whatever other traumatic chemical they will be putting into his little body surely can't be any safer than MM.

Again I truly understand where your coming from, I have provided the father with a link to the site so he can join the conversation first hand.. I'm just trying to help him feel better about his options after the results come back.

I feel like if hes 2 or 20 if the treatment may work, what will it hurt to try.. Hes already facing a ruff road ahead and No treatment is guaranteed.  Its his family, his life if they decide to take the more natural path then so be it.

And we break the law everyday when we smoke a joint or use mm in any form, there have been no studies done to show what MM does to us more so now ah days with all the scientific methods used to extract  the medicine.. so in my eyes where all "guinea pigs" difference is hes just a child..

Btw, he was hospitalized this morning due to having a severe seizure, and a extreme temperature ;(

I am sorry to hear he was hospitalized.  I know how traumatic sickness and hospitals can be for a child.

 I guess I misunderstood.

I thought you were asking for OTHERS to help provide oil for him before he received a diagnosis and became legal. Placing yourself at risk is one thing, to ask others to without even having a diagnosis would be less than appropriate.

I am sorry for misunderstanding you.

I agree, compiling facts in this case is  extremely wise, especially once you know what your dealing with.  Possibilities are endless.

Just for reference in your research- http://www.cashhydefoundation.com/

I followed Cashys story for some time - They probably have the most spoke of experience in a toddler with brain cancer utilizing mmj.

I will send positive, healing energy his way.  I hope his family finds out what is going on and he recovers quickly!

A question a Doc. should answer.
