How about a one plant grow under that 400w to see what good results could be had with the bubble tote, maybe a little advanced tweaking thrown in, which would not make it budget, but what is reasonably doable under 400w light.

Hmmm anyone have a definition for advanced tweaking.....

i can advance tweak a mobymix under a 400wHPS ECONO to produce a lot :)

and i think we may see just exactly how much :)

i have just resigned my position as moderator.

so with that being said, get ahold of me now when you can :)

its about vacation time for me. i wanna grow and thats it.

f u c k the "he said she said" bullshyt.

i have zero time for anybody's private message complaints. ask mr. komorn. he is one of the 3 admins of this site and will have all the answers (unless the MMMA has allowed it).

or get bb or garfield.

they ARE THE ONES RUNNING THIS SITE AND THEY WILL MAKE SURE IT STAYS THAT WAY.

so trust in those 3 people.

Hey Bubblegrower,

You certainly have helped me immensely with my first grow, and I have had complete trust in all of your advice as it has proven to be more than worthwhile. Thank you for your time and generosity in sharing information and knowledge. You'll never know how much of a difference you have made. You inspire.

Good luck to you in all you do.

just want to make a few things clear for the benefit of the patients.

i resigned as a "mod".

i no longer wish to be a part of the politics on this site. and by "politics", i mean the day-to-day operations as well as the general direction that the movement is going.

it is not that i do not care...................

trust me, i do.

the fact of the matter is that there was a difference in opinion. there are tons of those on this site every single day and this one was no different.

i have a grow room, patients, children, wife, parents, and grandparents to take care of.......... in no particular order.

that is my main concern. in my free time i like to help newer growers get their feet wet. thats all i want to do.

as much as i care, i simply do not have the time to contribute in any other way.

i will continue to contribute to this site as a member and that is all for now. trust me, for a newer grower out there, this is better for you as well.

no longer will i have to waste my precious time playing the "he said-she said" game. thats not me. there are others in the game who enjoy that conflict and can resolve it themselves. let the drama queens have their fun too. i just do not wish to be a part of it.

if allowed, i will be sticking to the grow room............... and thats it all. please do not private message or e-mail me with anything other than grow related issues. there are mods and admin here to take care of everything else.

Bubblegrower, I have said it to you privately and I'll say it publicly that you are one of my heroes. You teach people to fish. We need you and I apologize if I contributed in anyway to your problems. I look forward to the day when I can just take care of my family again. I am old, sick and tired. I've just got a few more battles to fight and I'll get to rest. Thanks for all you do. Teaching sick folks to make their own medicine is a calling of the highest magnitude. With Greatest Admiration, Bb

your reply is not only greatly appreciated, it is truly taken to heart.

as a soon-to-be-new grower, i certainly have gotten a lot out of your posts and ideas, BubbleGrower. I know that any forum can generate politics, especially one like this with direct political implications. anytime one deals with politics, there are going to be periods of burnout. i hope your time with your family and your garden are truly restful and rewarding. hopefully, we won't have to miss your wisdom and contributions around here.

tell us more!!

I'm using these Superoots Air Pots in sizes from .5 liter to like 24 liter or 6.5 gallons and they rock. I put plants that had outgrown size #1 smart pots in the big ones and they went out of their mind. It's Sour Bubble so they do that if you give them enough room, but goddamn they started growing fast. It's almost hydro-like, but it's organic soil. I have some 3 gallon ones and some 1.5 gallon ones too. Jack the Ripper is going just about as crazy in the 3 gallons as Sour Bubble did in the 6.5ers.

It's a race to get a rooted clone from each plant before the plants get too tall. Now I'm putting clones started in Root Riot cubes into the .5 liter Air Pots to hopefully get a better start than in the #1 Smart Pots and the Smart Pots are pretty good. It's all about air-pruning roots to make a dense mat of roots throughout the container instead of a circling rootbound pattern.

the plans are here and completed. the blueprints have been drawn. the equipment has been acquired. the clones have been rooted (2 different ways). the new direction for the journal is as follows:

1000 watts to obtain 1000 grams using 10 plants in a 5ft x 5ft print.

do the math anyway you want.......... its 1g/1w.

going to be doing this fairly budget as well so hang in for a couple days while i build it and the show will be starting.

going to be vegging 8 "bubbledick" (new official name for my mobymix) plants in 5 gallon bubblebuckets and adding 2 TGA Subcool "The third Dimension" in a 10 gallon tote to help us along.

i will be vegging under two 400watt remote econo magnetic ballasts and 400w MH lamps. vegging under 800w and flowering under 1000w.

the flower stage materials are yet to be determined, but im pretty sure it will be under a 45" verizontal parabolic reflector and a 1000HPS lamp/digital ballast.

i will be using the lucas method of nutrients with one additive in late flower, and these buckets will not be connected together. i will have to attend to each bucket individually.
