Large Plants In Bloom

If you don't have the room start gently bending her over...be gentle...I've seen plants bent at a 90 degree angle (done it meself) that have had great harvests. I bend and tie with thin wires, doesn't seem to bother the plants at all. LST (low stress training) can be started early in the flower cycle, but is usually started in late veg stage. A bit of bondage for that gal...Peace...j.b.

You're definitely going to want to start slowly tying it down in late veg/early flower. I had a nearly four foot Martian Mean Green going into flower once, and what I did was tie the main stem to a weight (I think I used a hammer) and everyday for a few weeks I would move the hammer about a half an inch further away from the plant. When I was done the plant was at probably a 60 degree angle and I got multiple colas!

  • 2 weeks later...

The LST (low stress training) method does add about 10-15 percent increase in yields. Not exactly sure why, but if you have the space and the time it is worth both...Peace...j.b.

Back inn th day be for LST we would use spit shoots sinkers to weigh down the branch i guess we were LST ing and didn't know it LOL

Thanks, their diameter makes it difficult to find something to just put them into.

I have (2) -5s and (1)- 7 - I have been wanting to use them.

I was just concerned over the floppiness before any soil mix is in them.

Thanks Tarzan.

Your Welcome " DT61 "

You got it, I will transplant 1 today - no hunting for you? or I am guessing where you live if you hunt, you just open the back door?

Nah ....

I've kinda lost that passion when my Granfather past-away ...

and when i quit drinking in 1984 ...

I'd rather not go out in the woods w/ all those CraZy Hunters ...

If i had a Choice of Vension or Beef , I'd rather have Beef ...

Less expensive , less trouble and hassle ....

Plus w/ Deer having Chronic Wasting Disease ...
