Very cool, 1337. Shred with a difference!

Tosin Abasi is very under rated, younger guy and for some reason Animals as Leaders seams to tour with Death Metal bands instead of prog or instrumentalists.

Count the strings on his guitar

Very unique, in my experience to play an 8 string is absurd with the size of the neck, then to do something that isn't over distorted low chugs is purely innovative and inspiring.

I'll be sure to check that out. That first track took me back to how I felt when Yngwie Malmsteen was new.

I've seen that video not that long ago actually, I can't remember who showed me but a very cool and unique sound there, reminds me a lot of a sitar, which I love the sitar!

This just popped on my pandora, I love this tune.

i love what Tosin is doing. he gets lumped in with a lot of death metal bands, cause he is lumped in with the 'Djent' movement, inspired by Frederick Thorendal of Meshuggah. Misha Monsoor of Periphery is also well known for that style of music. Scale the Summit is another such band:

One of my favorite duos of all time, Debashish (& brother Subashish) Bhattacharya

Just quit my Deathcore slightly Djent band Dweller not that long ago actually. Hella props for the knowledge, didn't think of all places to run into someone who knows that would be here :dodgyrun:

How about inviting Marty to the party     Dude is one of the best guitarists ever IMO, especially when it comes to exotic scales.

This guy is one of my personal favorites here too. Lance Bowzer. He's pretty much unknown unless you're really into instrumental guitar (like me :D ) but he's a beast on the 7 string, massive chops and very unique style.

If you guys dig that he came out with a CD within the last year and you can hear it for free. Here's a link. Great, great stuff :thumbsu:
