Foliage Spray before or after light?

Hello.  Im using a foliage spray.  I have been told to use it right before the light goes off and i have been told to use it while the light is on?  Which would have the best results?  Im using nitrozime (marine algae) as a foliage spray.  Thanks.

Use right before lights out. Spraying anything on your plants, and leaving them in direct light is a bad idea

thanks i figured!   I p;an on doing it at right before the lights go out.  What happens to the plant if its done while the lights are on?

The moisture droplets will magnify your light source and cause hot spots on the leaves, possible causing leaf damage.

Thanks!  I used it already a couple of times while the lights were on and yes i can tell its kind of drying them out a bit and causing a little problems.  I stopped and will only do it after the lights go out now.
