My Experience With Portable Vaporizers For Concentrated Cannabis Oil And E-Cigarette Oil

My journey with pen vaporizers began with quitting smoking cigarettes. 30 years of smoking cigarettes, it was well time to quit.

Since the software update on this website, many of the images in this blog entry have been lost. You can view the complete content of this blog and more here: http://cchub.org/Blogs/blogs.html

I started off with purchasing a Dream Vapor Electronic Cigarette kit for $25.99. It took me about a week before I could fully stop the cigarettes and only use the e-cigarette. The first couple of weeks I noticed that my lungs were clearing up and I could breathe better. That is when I realized that I just had to make concentrated cannabis oil work in one of these refillable tank style e-cigarettes.

WARNING: The information and links I have posted throughout this blog were as I was learning. My opinion in some of the things has changed. Like the $37 SVD, it is low quality and not the real deal. I recommend the $89 kit through High Desert Vapes. The Dream Vapor, I no longer recommend that product. The C4 Clearomizer, I do not recommend that for cannabis oil, but it is acceptable for e-cigarette oils. For e-cigarettes, or any pen battery use, I recommend the eGo C Twist variable voltage batteries only, preferably the 650mAh. As you get to the end of the blog, you will see that I have gained more experience. I have tried the concentrate straight, e-cannabis oil, and I have found preferred products. In other words, read the blog to the end before making a product decision.

After some failures in testing different mixtures, I found what seems to work best. It seems that Propylene Glycol USP, which is a component used in many of the e-cigarette oils, works best. It is important to be sure to get Propylene Glycol USP. The PG USP is used in medicines and some food and beverage processing. It is also great for using in topical solutions. PG USP helps medicine penetrate skin and tissue which enables the medicine to enter the bloodstream more quickly and easily. PG USP also helps chemicals bond together.

The PG USP reduces the temperature required to vaporize the RSO (Concentrated Cannabis), which makes it possible to evenly vaporize the RSO with the e-cigarettes.

I have compared vaporizing straight RSO vs. RSO with PG USP added. For portable electronic vaporizers, RSO with PG USP seems better to me, I prefer it. It is not only the vaporizing with an e-cigarette, there are other benefits. Such as, being able to hold 1/2 ounce worth of bud, transformed into oil in the vaporizer tank. One fill can keep a patient medicated for weeks. You just cannot beat the convenience. Also, it seems to have a different effect when inhaling. It is almost like taking a draw from a medicine inhaler.

It is easy to mix the PG USP with the RSO. All you need to do is gently warm the RSO in a large spoon or small bowl just until it begins to "melt". Remove from the heat and mix in the PG USP. I have found that a 70% RSO to 30% PG USP works best. However it can vary any where from 10 - 50% PG USP, also personal preference fits into the equation. After the RSO and PG USP are mixed well, suck it up into a syringe. You now have E-Cannabis oil ready to fill an e-cigarette tank and start vaporizing your oil!

Since I have started doing this, I have not even desired to smoke a joint. I think in the last 3-4 weeks I have smoked maybe one.

More testing will be conducted soon.

I must say, the QWISO I have left, about 10 grams or so, I can't find it within myself to vape it. It is the most potent oil I have eaten in my life! One full drop, the effects last over 24 hours! It is just too good eating it.

I will be doing more testing after the next harvest.

It has been recommended to me to try a new innokin metal and glass clearomizer. There are some other nice ones out there from KangerTech and other companies. As soon as the next harvest, I will make some more oil and get back at it.

Might be about a month or so though.

On my QWISO blog I will be adding more information about the naturally decarbed oil. I am just waiting for some vials and droppers to arrive. After receiving those, it will take 90 to 100 days to narrow it down.

Since switching from eating RSO to eating the naturally decarbed QWISO / QWET I have been too stoned to do any smoking or vaping! I just take a couple hits from my vape and I have to go lay down!!

Look at all the benefits terpines can offer.

Terpenoid Education

I am hoping with all my future cannabis oils, I will have all of the cannabis terpines in them with my ND sap.

You can purchase other plant terpines that is already in e-cigarette form without nicotine. It may offer a lot of medicinal value. http://holismokes.com/

I may order some to try.

My testing came to a short halt due to a bad bottle of Everclear that I purchased from Wine Chateau. I have more details about this on my QWISO blog.

Very recently I purchased 20 different NF Organic flavors from High Desert Vapes.

NF Organic Flavors 8 12 14 023

I have been able to sample 7 so far, and that is a lot really, only 2 with e-cannabis.

Flavor Test 8 12 14 027

iClear16 4 G QWET flavored 8 12 14 028

I believe that each sampling should be conducted with a new clearomizer, then there is no doubt of the flavor. With the higher quality units like the AeroTank mini, the tank and all of the parts can be cleaned and a new coil installed for each new flavor. It takes a while because you need to put at least a gram in the clearomizer for it to work right, then allow from 5 to 30 minutes for the wicks to fully absorb the mixture for the most accurate flavor test.

I would like to mention that each clearomizer type and coil type, can have a big influence on the flavor. Sometimes so much that between different models, the oil will taste totally different. A lot of the KangerTech products being made of glass and a lot of stainless steel can be very harsh with e-cannabis, causing throat burn. On the other hand, with e-cigarette oils, they are very smooth and most times you can't even tell you got a hit.

So far, with the AeroTank Mini, using PEG400 NF/USP as the concentrate thinner, and for sure using a flavoring, it makes all the difference. It is neither too harsh nor too smooth, it is just right.

I am really digging the banana nut flavor e-cannabis oil in my AeroTank Mini.

AeroTankMini QWET with banana Nut flavor 8 12 14 033

You have to be careful with the peppermint flavoring, a little too much can enhance the burning effect of the cannabis oil.

I will also be sampling raspberry as soon as I finish up the banana nut! :D

My three favorite out of what I tested are, banana nut, raspberry, and peppermint.

I am liking all three, especially the banana nut flavor with my e-ciggs. My favorite e-cigarette clearomizer, only for e-cigarettes is the CE5 BDC, there are many options for the coils. I like the 1.8 and 2.1 ohm coils for the CE5 BDC, the e-juice seems to taste the best with those. All three flavors taste pretty good with the e-cigg oils. Comparable to the e-cannabis with the PEG400 NF/USP with the flavors. The difference between the two is the e-cigg oil has about 50% VG and the e-cannabis which is a concentrated cannabis oil mixed about 50% with PEG400 NF/USP. I am starting to like the concentrated cannabis with the PEG and NF flavorings.

I will get around to testing the other flavors real soon.

As soon as I receive my order of the 192 proof polish vodka, I will do another QWET run and I will try that concentrate mixed with the PEG and new flavors.

Here is a little update. The AeroTank V2, I tried mine once and it has been sitting on the shelf ever since. It is just too harsh with PG USP. I just tried a n e-cannabis mix with PEG400 NF/USP with NF Organic Raspberry flavoring. It is smooth, it is the whoop! I am really liking the glass products with PEG400 NF/USP, it is just right. It was from a QWET extracted cannabis oil. It is not as clean looking as my iso extractions, but seems to be more medicinal. When it comes to adding flavors and using high quality products like the AeroTank, stainless steel and glass, it is the whoop!

You barely can tell you are getting a hit and before you know it, you are baked out of your mind! It is so comfortable and enjoyable

You guys have seen my pictures, premium oil, premium buds, I am one of the last people out there that would give a thumbs up to adding flavors. Well, I am giving a thumbs up to NF Organic flavors and PEG400 NF/USP. At least with the AeroTank products, that is all I have really tried it in so far.

My one cannabis oil can be 50 different flavors. They blend together as if it was meant to be. I am really liking the flavors. All I use on my pen now is an AeroTank with the e-cannabis mix with concentrate, PEG400 NF/USP and my NF Organic flavor of choice. Right now my favorite is Banana Nut. Next time I will order the Banana Cream!

I did another QWET extraction and used Strawberry Cough. I set aside the lower grade oil to e-cannabis. Typically I set aside some higher grad oil, but in this run, the low grade oil came out pretty good.

I could not help it, I had to fill up my AeroTank Mega. I used the SBC QWET oil, Peg400 NF/USP, and some NF Organic Banana Nut flavoring. It is really good! I am beginning to like the 2 ohm coils. I get a bigger hit compared to what the 1.5 ohm coils offer. This is with all of the AeroTank models I have used. All three of them are working great with using the QWET/PEG mixture with flavoring.

I put some raspberry flavoring in my AeroTank V2.

I had my patients try the different flavors and they really like them.

Here are some images of the low grade SBC QWET oil. Sorry, no pictures of the high grade oil.

I haven't been vaping much since I started experimenting with ingesting my ND Sap now that it has aged to being decarbed.

When I do vape I usually use my AeroTank Mini with the PEG400 NF/USP and some NF Organic flavoring, like raspberry. I have really been enjoying it and can't say that I have had any problems. I replace the coil every-other fill.

Check out what Whoopi says about her vape pen. It is e-cannabis I believe, and most likely CO2 oil. However, i recommend using the QWISO Hash with PEG. you don't really need heat to mix it. Especially when using the organic flavorings since there is a little bit of alcohol in them. It is worth taking the time to mix it well even if you have to let it sit for a while, because you keep all of the medicinal properties of the cannabis oil. Heat can destroy some of those properties. It has become noticeable to me.

I have been mixing my own e-cig juice. I guess you could say I am a vapor junkie, but I like it!

I can vape all I want mixing my own, and I don't think it is costing more than 50 cents per day.

I have been using the Aspire CE5 BDC. I can go through more coils when mixing my own. I have noticed that when my mixture is thicker (more VG) the coils plug up more quickly. I have switched back to a 70% PG USP mixture and it pretty much solved the plugging up problem.

Anyway, I went to order more coils for the CE5BDC, and they don't make them anymore. It seems to be the same unit, but the coil is different. They now call it a CE5BVC (bottom vertical coil). They say the new coils will work in my existing CE5, and the new design of coil seems to be a big improvement. I just may have to test some e-cannabis juice in it. Right now I am still using my AeroTank mini for the e-cannabis juice.

I will follow up with how the new CE5 works out.

At least a 1-year supply of e-cigg oil. This is only half of the expense, but in this picture is more e-cigg oil than I can consume in a year. $97 delivered. Add in a little more PG USP, a couple of CE5BVC, couple packs of replacement coils, and a couple eGo C Twist batteries. For less than $200 you can vape all the e-cigg oil you need in a year.

1 year supply E cigg Oil 4 10 15 013

I use organic coconut oil for added flavor. It is a more healthy choice than smoking. I feel better and it is by far more affordable than tobacco cigarettes.

Oh edit: See that joint in the front? I am puffing on that right now! It is a roach joint of multiple strains with a large element paper covered with premium RSO. MMMMMMMMM It is like everlasting!

I haven't been doing very much testing and comparing since I last posted.

Lately my favorite e-cigg vape has been the newest model of the Aspire CE5 BVC coils, the third model coil that I am aware of since they went to the BVC.

The first two coil designs that I had used for the CE5 required a hard pull when going to take a draw, not much air. That is what I was used to. Also, the older models required higher wattage. I would have to set my eGo C Twist battery to maximum after the coil was broken in. That kind of bothered me, because it felt like I needed more power than what the eGo C Twist could provide.

With the most recent model coil, it draws a lot of air, which took some getting used to, and now I like it. When the coil is broken in, I have to set the eGo C Twist on the lower settings, the new design coil requires less wattage. The only downside I can say about the newer coils, is when you first go to use it, there is a bit of a burnt taste. It goes away after you break it in. I believe I can eliminate the burnt taste, but need to try a couple of things to be sure. Even if my ideas to eliminate the burt taste do not help, this is still my favorite standard pen type clearomizer. For less than $6.00, you can't beat that. You can always add a different 510 mouthpiece or drip tip for better taste. Another great thing with the newer CE5, in regards to e-cigg use, it works great when using a mechanical type vaporizer and the flavor is awesome. The mechanical vape I have been using is the Smoktech Magneto using the 18490 AW battery. This battery is perfect for the CE5 and e-cigg oil.

Smoktec Magneto left 11 23 15 015

Be prepared, that's what I always say. You may have noticed the carton of rolling papers in the photo. I do smoke the occasional joint. Sadly, my favorite smoke shop quit selling my favorite papers, so I purchased a whole carton online. In the end, it saved me some money.

The newest model CE5 and cannabis oil:

I must say, it is the best pen style clearomizer I have used with e-cannabis, especially when using PG. It works best with a variable voltage vape. It requires precision tuning so you don't burn the oil. It tasted a little burned just for the first day of use. I was able to use 2 fills with out any leaking or other problems. Using it on an eGo C Twist I has to set the power to the lowest level to avoid burning the oil. I am very impressed with the newest model coil for the Aspire CE5 BVC. When using an electronic vape and you have the wattage adjusted just right, it is very tasty and smooth, no harshness when using PG/USP.

Who's got the new model CE5? The last purchase I made was from My vapor Store. I purchased black tinted model and it came with the newest model coils. http://www.myvaporstore.com/Aspire-CE5-BVC-Ego-Ecig-Tank-p/ap-ce5.htm

They are probably all the new design. These BVC coils work with other Aspire devices. I ordered the 1.8 ohm coils, which is my favorite for e-ciggs. I believe the 2.0 ohm coils will probably be my favorite with e-cannabis. Currently with the new design, they only offer the 1.8 ohm coils. http://www.myvaporstore.com/Atomizer-head-for-Aspire-Clearomizers-BVC-p/ap-cah.htm

As soon as they are available in 2 ohm, I will be trying them out.

Here is a picture of the new coil vs. the older coil. These work so well, if your cannabis oil is runny, you may be able to vape it straight, as long as you are patient.

WARNING!

The newer eGo C Twist batteries (2015/2016 model) Recently I purchased several 650 mah VV batteries, 5 to be exact, every one of them failed before I could even get in a first full charge. They are all defective! 100% failure rate. Heck, I have some from a few years ago that still work, the batteries are worn, but they still work.

I decided to take each style apart (older and newer) to see how they work. It was obvious that the newer batteries have different electronics, and they are junk! I don't think I will purchase another hellosmoke battery, at least the eGo C Twist. I won't even take one for free at this point, they are junk.

Now I am off to find an alternative.

If you are hooked on the eGo C Twist, try to find a knock-off, it may work better.

Link to comment

I have done some research about the eGo C Twist batteries I was using. It appears they are knockoffs from hellosmoke. I purchased them from High Desert Vapes. The new ones are junk and I do not recommend purchasing them. At least the 650 mah size.

I have a feeling though, it is all of them.

Next I will be trying the original eGo C Twist (same price) manufactured by JoyeTech. I will purchase them from My Vapor Store. I will also try the Vision Spinner. It is very similar to the eGo C twist and My Vapor Store also carries them.

Hopefully I can clear up this problem, I need to replace my worn batteries very soon....

Link to comment

I feel the problem is cleared up. Stick with the authentic Joyetech eGo C Twist batteries. There is also the vision spinner battery.

I was going to get one of each of those, but after getting screwed, I decided to spend my money on something else. It has been a good year or longer since I have even took the time to look into new products. There is so much out there now it is mind boggling. All of the stuff I looked at looked to be more up to date than anything I have shown in this blog so far.

Sadly, the new vapes may come to an end. They are trying to pass a bill right now to potentially shut down all manufacturers of vaping products. There will possibly be a fee of $300,000 for a manufacturer to submit plans for a product to be approved.

The FDA wants to regulate all vaproizing equipment and supplies. HR2058 is a proposed bill to limit the regulations, and it may be our only hope. There are many places on line that you can google search that will help point you in the right direction to support this bill to prevent the heavy regulations.

Anyway, I broke down and decided to try a new high powered mini vaporizer. The high tech one I wanted is currently out of stock, but I did order a bad azz one. The Kangertehc SUBOX http://www.myvaporstore.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=KRSBL1

I will share a link to the other one I want as soon as it is available.

I should get the new vape in a week or so. Going by the videos I have watched and the specifications, it should blow the doors off of anything I have so far. This vape is very high powered, it is capable of operating sub ohm coils. Luckily, you can now purchase pre made sub ohm coils. In the past, you could only make them yourself. Supposedly the sub ohm coils provide a larger hit. I have found that with e-cannabis oil, a bigger hit is needed. With this new device, it has a wide range of resistance capability. Far more powerful than a SVD. The tank it comes with, you have the option to use a sub ohm coil of 0.5, or more like a regular e-cigg, 1.5 ohm.

I will follow up after I get it and have a chance to try it out. I have found that the vaporizers are more reasonably priced too.

Link to comment

I did end up purchasing the other vape. It did not come with the clearomizer of my choice, but I will try it out anyway. It is the vape I originally wanted, very high tech, and has temperature control.

I will compare them and see how they each do with e-cannabis oil.

If it wasn't for my eGo C Twist problem, I probably would have just replaced all of my old eGo batteries. Which would have maybe cost about the same anyway.

The batteries I ordered for the new vapes also work in my mechanical vapes, so it is still a good investment.

Lately I have been using my mechanical with high drain batteries for my e-ciggs. I have been using an aerotank and also the CE5. They have both been working great with the right batteries.

I will discuss more when I get my new vapes.

Here is the one I just purchased today. http://www.myvaporstore.com/Joye-eVic-VTC-Mini-with-TRON-Tank-p/joye-vtc70.htm

I was hoping at least one of my new devices would have arrived today, but it did not. So I probably will not be able to do any testing until Monday.

Just want to follow up on the CE5 with the new coils and I must say, I am impressed. I am using the middle size coil, 1.8 ohm, can't wait to try out the others! So far, I almost have to say it is the best clearomizer I have used for vaping, with the new style coil or atomizer. I am on the third fill, with some of my lower grade oil. On the second fill it leaked a little, only once. After I cleaned it up, it has not leaked since. For whatever reason, this new coil makes the device taste so much better after it is broken in. I was never a fan of the drip tip on the CE5 until now.  Big thumbs up to the CE5 with the new model vertical coils.

I believe i have mentioned this previously that vaping is not efficient, it is expensive. I don't believe that to be true anymore. The newer devices seem to be comparable to smoking joints when it comes to efficiency (everybody does have different results). Now, because of the CE5, I am even more excited to try the newer products.

The CE5 has been working awesome with a mechanical vape using the 18490 battery, and 20 and 30 amp high drain batteries. This is with e-cannabis and e-ciggs.

The new high powered mini devices I ordered for vaping, I believe they have all the power necessary for perfected dry bud vaping. It is just a matter of finding the right unit to do it.

Well I got to try the Kanger SUBOX Nano and Joye. e-Vic VTC mini.

Both are great and make everything I previously tested look ancient.

The Joye e-Vic VTC mini is overall the best device, but it may not be the best for your personal preference. I am not sure which one mine is yet.

The Kanger SUBOX Nano (the unit says KBOX Nano) this unit isn't as fancy with all the extra features the Joye e-Vic VTC has, but it is the most slim and petite model. It is very curvy so you can't judge it based on overall dimensions. I like the SUBBOX a lot. I can understand it being someone's favorite based upon personal preference without a doubt. One downside that I don't like is it only goes down to 7 watts. There are atomizers or tanks that require lower wattage. The Joye can easily accommodate those.

These new boxes, vs the older items I have been using, well there is no comparison, these newer devices are awesome. For e-ciggs, I have really been liking the Joye tron tank, it can handle a nice thick liquid. I am not one that likes doing reviews on giant power vapes. I am just a constant vaper, I don't need a huge cloud of vapor. So this tron tank works out pretty well for me. The Joye battery system can do it all and it has all the goodies. You can't go wrong with the VTC and the Tron tank. If you purchase it from my vapor store and you have to get the kit, it will not be a waste of money even if you don't use the tron tank. MVS has great deals.

Now for the SUBOX nano, I decided to use this one for the e-cannabis testing because the clearomizer (atomizer or tank) it comes with, the subtank nano, looked like it would be a better option for a thick e-cannabis liquid. The atomizers are extra large, and there are different types that are available. I first tested the 1.5 ohm and it was the best I ever experienced, but it failed prematurely. I immediately changed it to the 0.5 ohm and continued my testing from there. I have pretty much tested one full tank. I would have to say it has been flawless. You will probably want to change the coil at each tank refill. The subtank OCC vertical coils run $2.99 each. These are a little too intense for me, at least when they are new, even the buzz that follows, along with the expando. I did need to adjust the wattage a few times after the coil broke in. The range was between 17 and 20 watts. (that was for my mixture). I still haven't tried the other type of coils, they are completely different, they range from 1 ohm to 1.2 ohm and are extra large like the vertical ones. I will have to give those a try on my next tank full. If you are looking for the biggest hit, and to get as stoned as possible per hit, then I believe 0.5 ohm OCC vertical coil is the one for you. That will require the Kangar vape, a high power battery like the LG HG2 18650 20 Amp, and some good oil. As long as it is liquid and allow it to absorb into the coils, it should work just fine. I only experimented with lower grade oil, and I believe a higher grade oil would have offered better results.

A little update with the kanger nano and the e-Vic with Tron.

Tron first: Awesome taste, great flavor, great hits. Might I remind you I am not one of those giant draw people. I don't get into the subohm e-ciggs with the huge vapor clouds. A downside with the Tron, every time I go to refill it, it floods. Every time I encounter big temperature changes (cold to warm), it floods. Other than that, it is great, but why I don't want to test it with e-cannabis, the flooding issue.

As for the e-vic, I stand on the same ground. It is the most accurate wide range vape you can get for your money, but I am not a full fan of the boxy feeling, I like it to be more contoured. I have been loving the SUBOX nano. I said screw it and ordered the KBOX mini in platinum color. I am a fan of the stainless steel look. The KBOX is not as small as the SUBOX nano, but it does have the curves. I ordered some tanks and coils to try out too.

As for what I have tried. Good news/bad news. The SUBOX nano is the best I have tried yet, but only with the 0.5 ohm coil. There are coils I have not tried yet though. However, when I used the 1.2 and 1.5 ohm coils, they each failed quickly. The 0.5 ohm coil I did try I am still using and am on the second tank. I have no complaints and it works flawlessly. I set it between 17 and 20 watts.

With the joye e-vic VTC and the extra features, you can set it on bypass and you can just put whatever unit/coil you want and it will automatically adjust. I really like that feature, especially since I use both e-cannabis and e-ciggs. You can swap tanks and no need to adjust.

I am still loving the kanger how it is small and smooth. the tank it comes with is great with the cannabis oil. I have not tried it with e-cigg yet, but I will. The subohm coils seem to be the best overall and I have only tried one type, there are more to try, like nickel and titanium. Also, stainless steel and ceramic.

Loving the new units.

I pretty much feel the same as this guy. I don't have a PG allergy, but just don't want to consume as much as I do. This is in regards to e-ciggs. I consume so much of it, it is a little concerning, at least 3 mL per day just with e-cigg use.

With these new box vapes and sub ohm style tanks, you can change your mixture to where it is 70/80% VG. It tastes better and the units work better. With the older units like the CE5, the thicker mixtures do not work as well. I am still getting used to the nano tank for my e-cigg vaping. It has been a few days now and I am beginning to prefer it. It is more safe and more healthy. My old mixture was about 50/50 PG/VG. Now it is closer to 80/20 VG/PG and I have been enjoying my vaping more than ever with these new devices.

With the thicker VG mixture I get a larger vapor hit so I cut the nicotine down from 20 mg to about 10 mg. With that, it should be cheaper for me to vape now. It is already super cheap since I mix my own.

Just because a unit cost $200 does not mean it is better. Yes, it may be high quality and have bonus features, but a lot of these expensive, elite units are very inconvenient. This video is a great example, and also entertaining.

I received my new platinum Kanger KBOX Mini. I am impressed with it. I do like stainless steel look, it is beautiful. I love the looks with the stainless steel mini tank. However, with e-cannabis, I have always noticed that the stainless steel tanks with glass seems to cause more throat burn. I am not sure why. Stainless steel can also have a great effect on the taste of e-cannabis and even e-cigg oil. In some cases. stainless steel is great, depending on what you are vaping. I am getting more used to it, and it is acceptable to me for carrying around as my e-cigg. It looks so slick. I still prefer to use a non-stainless steel tank for e-cannabis.

The subtank mini is not too  bad with the e-cannabis with respect to the burn. It is larger than the subtank nano. The subtank mini is a bit top heavy, but still, it is pretty cool The Subtank mini comes with a RBA (Rebuildable bottom automizer). It even comes with 2 pre-built coils and a replacement glass

The subtank mini is real nice. It fits the joye and kanger platinum perfectly, It is a little big for the nano.

The Subox mini (platinum) is about the same size as the joye e-Vic VTC mini except it has nice rounded edges. On the other hand, the joye is a little more advanced and powerful. I did try e-cannabis with the new tank on the new mini, which is much larger than the nano. It worked great, but as I expeced, since it is all stainless steel, it was more harsh, but still pretty good.

When it comes to vaping, I kind of like the plastic and glass with the coated metal that the nano tank offers. It is not the best flavor, but seems to work well with everything.

I like carrying the kanger SUBOX nano best due to its size. It seems to be the smallest box mod that offers a replaceable battery compartment.

I like all three units. I can't really choose the best one for me. I will note that the Tron tank is horrible because it floods a lot.

Here are all three. I just received the platinum one today, so I have not fully tested it yet.

Not much going on with the forums, so I will just chat with myself on my blog.

On Christmas day my oil tank went dry. I was using low grade oil to do a test run on the new vape. I was not ready to tape into my high grade reserves yet. Wanted to make sure I had something nice to vape for New Year's Eve.

I had a solution to my empty vape tank problem. Roll a bad a_ss doob. or two, maybe three.

I had to try the new stainless steel mini tank. Like I said, it was more harsh. I believe it is only due to the excess stainless steel in the tank. It is larger than the nano tank. Other than the size difference, it operates the same and seems to be a good tank. ((edit) The mini and the nano both use the same coils, but I do have a complaint with the mini, this is in regards to the older mini that is a bottom fill unit, when I go to refill it, it always seems to flood. I don't have that problem with the nano. The flooding isn't too bad of an issue, just blow out into a napkin then problem solved, but it is annoying. Maybe the new top fill tanks won't have the same problem.) It is better suited to the joye or mini vapes due to the size. It really looks super cool on the platinum KBOX mini though.(edit) final conclusion with the bottom fill mini: it is unacceptable, defective. After trying different coils, non-stop flooding and other problems. It only seemed to work decent with the 0.5 ohm coils, but still flooded badly every refill. the good news: Kanger replaced it with a top fill model, and so far, it appears to have eliminated the problems of the bottom fill unit. Update: some good news, I tried the RBA that came with my mini kit and it works great. It is a game changer for it. It makes the old mini very usable. I suppose this is why the ratings were so good, the RBA. No leaking or gurgling with the RBA.

On New Year's Eve I decided to pull out my stash and mix some premium e-cannabis oil. I wanted to try it with my favorite tank, the black subtank nano, with the 0.5 ohm coil. This thing should have a warning label on it! The expando is unbelievable! You must be real careful, you won't know until it is too late. The buzz is the same, very extreme.

Then I decided to put the subox nano tank onto the KBOX mini platinum vape. They work the same for the most part.

So far, the best vaping experience I have had would have to be with the KangerTech SUBOX nano and Topbox mini.

I can't wait to try the 0.15 ohm coils....
