By The Argus-Press The Argus-Press | 0 comments OWOSSO — The Owosso Police Department has finished an investigation into a incident involving a home invasion that resulted in the beating of a 46-year-old man and the theft of his medical marijuana that occurred in the early morning hours of April 25 on River Street.

Owosso Police Deputy Director Michael Rau said the victim was asleep in his home when a 20-year-old woman allegedly broke a window and entered the home about 2 a.m. The victim, whom Rau said is handicapped and wheelchair-bound, confronted the invader and was struck in the head by the attacker. Rau said the victim and suspect knew each other.

The suspect, also an Owosso resident, stole two green pill bottles containing small amounts of marijuana and a “marijuana grinder.”

The victim was left with bruises and swelling and was treated at the scene.

Rau said authorities have “a good idea” who the attacker is, but no arrest has been made. The suspect is being held in jail on unrelated charges, Rau said.

Rau said he believes more of these types of break-ins are possible if people know where medical marijuana is being grown. He encourages patients and caregivers to keep their medical marijuana practices private.

It says nothing about a grow being there, and she stole meds in a jar, not plants. This had nothing to do with growing.

Rau needs to modify his statement to say citizens need to keep all items of value private.

Rau says, no more BMW or Mercedes driving-Someone could follow your rich a## home and rob you.

Rau says, no more Gold or Diamond wearing-Someone could see that fine a## diamond on your wife's hand and kill her and you during the robbery for said fine a## diamond.

Rau says, no more Designer Clothes or Shoes-Someone could stab your a## for them bad a## Nike's on your feet.

Rau says, no more living in above ground dwellings made of wood-Someone could break through that glass window and kill you and your whole family for your TV or Xbox or Ipad or George Foreman Grill

I could go on and on and on and on...
