Senate Bill 0660 (2013) Senate Introduced Bill

Recommended Posts

sounds innocent enuf... excepts when we look at Praries role in health canada. imo

here is last years Freep. background article. guess they've only been there since 2003. for as any investigations, PPS looks all good... One day, yooper trooper Tim Rajala, aka 'Raji' took an escorted golf cart ride a mile down below the surface to a room 'Prairie' brought em to and there was no cannabis there. presto, -

also like it when Perricone states, "Michigan needs to protects it's citizens."

i am sorry but in Canada you can not grow Cannabis any longer or soon to be

"As part of Health Canada's new regulations, all personal medical marijuana home-growing operations will be made illegal as of April 1, 2014. All medical marijuana patients in Canada will then be forced to purchase their medicine by mail-order from one of the government-licensed companies, of which PPS and CanniMed are the first – and only at this time."

Why is -this company- allowed in michigan? How many locals have been hired at PPS - zero. they are here as thee largest commercial producer, if given a chance, to monopolize mmj in michigan exactly as they have done in Canada.

So you toured the entire mine? No, me neither... but that's what they do... grow cannabis.

They don't supply health Canada w cannabis? Canadians grow rights haven't been taken away? Guess their legit bro -

I actually live by the PP mine here in the U.P. and they do not grow marijuana there at all.

Bombastic and nonfactual rhetoric will not help solve this issue.

They currently grow other medical botanicals and bio plants. Their current operation is cloning cherry trees and growing a bio'd version of legumes for therapeutic protein extraction.

*shrug*

And yes,.. PPS sux0r and are mostly responsible for the removal of home growing in Canada.

Solution: Quit voting for Republicans and Conservatives.  They voted int he conservative party in Canada and boom,... there ya go.  Get rid of Republicans and conservatives and we can move on in this world.

Until then, oppose PPS and the bill on a sensible factual basis. :-)

If Cannabis becomes available via a Doctor's prescription, does this mean that Cannabis would be covered for those that are on Medicaid? With Medicaid expansion in Michigan starting next year, and new insurance policies that cover a lot more prescription drugs, it would seem that some folks could get their medication for a reasonable cost, and maybe even free.

The residual toxins in that mine would contaminate their cannabis and possibly kill all patients with compromised immune systems. Call me cookoo, really I am.

Just Sayin... If your politicians can't get the nitty gritty and consent to bordeline smear campaign... then the-deck is, and has been, stacked and these ppl have millions and we're screwd.

You can't say it's a fact that they haven't been growing cannabis in that mine. Mal, have you personally accepted any funds from Prarie? lol

Whose Praries Lobbyist and how much have they been paid? Any connections to Dow Chemical? Whose our lobbyist? Our budget? Yep

What toxins are in the mine?  Mold, obviously, but that's everywhere.

first there is methan in a mine that is why miners used to bring birds with them into the mine when they seen the bird not moven they got out and I am sure the acid that they would check the ore with might be still there and some forms of toxins might still be in the mine as when the ran low on dinamight the would ,,,use -------- I will not say what,,, but i know folks that used to work in the mines back in the 40s 50s and 60s and they told me lots about mining and there are lot of toxins in mines from what thay have told me about

What toxins are in the mine?  Mold, obviously, but that's everywhere.

it is a favorite bill of Republican leadership in the executive branch and the Senate.  It has support from LARA (my best guess) and PAAM.  Now hear this clearly:  This bill is meant to run parallel to the MMMA, not in place of, as Senate Majority Leader Richardsville pointed out over and over today.  It is also necessary to have the Federal Govt change their name of mmj to Schedule 2.  Then it could be sold in pharmacies only.  They intend to test test test, and label label label.

Truthfully in my mind the real threat from this bill is a bit down the road if a bunch of conditions come to pass…. then they potentially could eliminate the MMMA and culitivation.  But the precedent is real and all you need do is look around the country to see that is the case.

There were a couple contentious witnesses that really would be well served to quit their diatribe about 2/3rds the way through.  Mental games and calliing out Senators does not win friends or influence.  The other thing that was disappointing was the number of people who ranted off topic until Sen Richardsville had to shut them down.

For the record, CPU did not speak, but we did post our objection to this bill on the record…..

May we see your objection please?

Can you see Canada from your house? If you do, you can be an upcoming vice presidential candidate.

I understand your frustration. Remember though that the money players have reasons too. And money. If we can't put up any reasonable objections, they will likely pass it in just about its entirety. If nothing more, find points of contention that are manageable. And they have money.

While there is likely little we can do to stop this bill, there is a way to get out ahead of the curve.

And don't forget - they have $$$$$$. The apparent major determinant in all legislation supported and passed by our Republican government.
