Anyone Buying Mmj Stocks?

I had a friend telling me he was making decent gains on Mmj stocks last year. I put in $100 last year in feb. By jan this year it had quadrupled. So I sold half n sat on the rest and invested more. These are risky stocks and they fluctuate a lot. Jus wondering if any of you have done this. Or if you'd like to. When we get full legalization I believe they will skyrocket...

yes, see this thread for more info on investing mmj stocks

http://michiganmedicalmarijuana.org/topic/41737-how-to-invest-in-legalized-marijuana/

i found this stock the other day.

http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=SKTO

they do dispensary stuff, medible products and that type of thing.

now see, is it a good time to invest , california just said cities can ban dispensaries. so less dispensaries? less profit for that company?

or will cali do recreational pot shops and this company will expand its products?

who knows. dont take this as stock advice. i hate the stock market.

Friend of mines uncle owns multiple dispensarys in california. Last month the feds starting trying to get money from him for something, not sure what but its to the tone of 2.1 million dollars. My buddy moved down there back in september to work for him, hes now back in michigan. Id say its a risky investment for sure, a risk im willing to take tho.

Thanks t-pain for providing that link to the Investing post.  Periodically I have been updating that post concerning the cannabis stocks.

If you look back over several years on many of the cannabis stocks you will see tremendous spikes followed by tremendous drop-offs.  It seems that lots of folks know what is coming and they want to jump on board when it takes off.  The problem has been that investors get all excited and jump on board only to realize that, no, the time is not yet right.  They all jump off and the stocks plummet.

They have all spiked again.  Is this time different?  That is the big question.  Will these stocks that have spiked lately plummet in a few days or weeks or is the time right this time?  Has the tipping point been reached where these cannabis companies are going to start bringing in big bucks.  If so, many will increase 500% from here.  If not, many will fall off 90% soon.

I got an account at tradeking and made a deposit to have funds available. There are plenty of others that can be used. I watched the prices on the stocks via the app and bought at the lower side of what they were going for. After about a week I bought into grow life (PHOT) for about .08 after that over the next few weeks it actually went down so I stopped watching it and let it set. This January my friend told me to check again as it had went up. It was now worth .28 I sold half of it and bought into hemp inc (HEMP) at .025 (5000 shares) within a week it went up around .06 so I sold half and grabbed cannbis science (cbis) and deposited more money to invest. Some people buy it and sit on it. Either way they will only go up in the long run. On days where there is good news about Mmj a lot of stocks go way up. Then in the next couple days they fall back down a little. On those huge days I sell half and buy back In when they drop back down. You can google any symbol and get the company details and charts. It's fun and I'm makin money at it but I dont make withdrawals I'm flipping it into more stock. Right now my market value is $1818.90 with about $979 invested... I've only been working it for a few weeks now besides the original $100 I put in last feb...

so you put in $100 and ~18x'd (1800%?) your money?

I'm trying to own more and more different stocks because some could fold but some could really have huge gains. I believe in Mmj and think it will get fully legalized everywhere and to me it's a better bet than he lottery or casino. Don't invest any money ull need over the next several months. If you decide to invest do some research and spread your money evenly over several companies...

There is risk of corse but there is also potential to make good money. That's why it's best to spread investment money into the ones you research and have the most hope in. Not all of the Mmj stock companies will b around forever. But some will become very successful. I'm just doin the penny stocks for now but I wldnt mind owning medbox. Just imagine if you wld have had a chance to own a piece of redbox before they had machines on every corner... This movement is moving forward and I'd rather take the risk to lose a little bit rather than sit and watch the stocks soar and wish I wldve bought in. To me it's worth it :)

When I was younger I had the resources to begin investing for the first time. I was set on private prisons for the return. I slacked awhile, got an "insider tip" about Harley Davidson and couldn't resist, my resulting returns were outstanding. When I was ready to take another look at the private prison plan my father suggested I do some soul searching now that I'm "getting older". He said I should be onboard and in agreement with my investments, otherwise I'd be going against my grain, a sell out sort of, for the cash. He said that these things become important with age, important for good mind and spirit.  I searched and saw how these prisons operate, and what their intentions are. I read of corruption conspiracies with city officials to lock up people for work camps and free labor, lobbyist making new laws to feed the system with new criminals. I understood quickly. I made big bucks with my Harley investment, sold 100%, and have been searching for a company I can stand behind, yet sleep peacefully while investing. It's been years since I gave up on my search. I hope these marijuana corps are doing what the majority of medical patients want, and not what the majority of investors want.
