Detroit City Council To Hold Public Meeting On Medical Marijuana Dispensaries

Is a new church allowed to open within 1000' from an existing dispensary? Seems if it's fair for one it should be fair for the other.

Went to a fairly new dispensary today and asked them about the zoning issue. Told me that there are few places in Detroit that aren't within 1000 feet of a church. They believe that the way Detroit zoning works they'll be able to get a variance. 

 

As an aside, this was the first place to give me an itemized receipt, and interestingly each item showed a charge of 6% less than actual and included the difference as a tax line. Pretty forward thinking.

It's an offer of sacrifice for them. Like in ancient times they might offer up their first born. Or their left nut.
