and 1 - FLT44 Hydrofarm’s Commercial T5 4FT 4 Tube Fixture ( 238 watts )

 

w/ 2 - Infinite Breeze Wall Mount 16" Oscillating Fan

 

 

All in a 9 X 8 Room ....

I buy my Spare Bulbs from elsewhere ...

 

I really do like them and I do very well w/ them ...

I'm Averaging 4-5 Oz's per plant in 8 weeks as of now ...

 

I just added that T-5 , so im hoping it helps ?

I may add two more ...

 

I was told to get rid of them and that a 1000 watt

would do better , But i just can't see how ?

 

1 -1000 watt Vs. 4 - 400 watters ( 1600 watts )

 

Make sure you get the NEW ONE w/ Electronic-Ballast

instead of the one w/ the switch

So your saying my room only has 50,000 total ?

Once i get 5 years in , I 'll be experienced , But No Master Grower ...

Yes those fans work very Nice other then their over-priced

as far as I'm concerned ... Sometimes i feel like these companies

are taking advantage of Growers ...

I Veg my Girls till their approx. 3 foot tall ,

then i place them into my Bloom Room and try to keep

one plant under one 400 watt light ...

 

I have had 6 plants in their at one time , But i do not

like to over-crowd my plants . I try keeping each plant

approx. 12 inches from each light ...

You bump to 800 or 1000 you will absolutly not beleive the dif!!!

if you do it you will see what im talking about!

This is very clean and neat Tarzan. Everybody is right about the yield increasing with increased wattage also.

 

4 400s= 4 points of light with 2-3 ft of light penetration

4 1000s= 4 points of light with 4-5 ft light penetration.

 

Of course that would mean much larger E bills and the need for an expensive air cooled set up.

 

To each his own I guess!

It's just used to fill in between the 4 - 400 watters ....

 

it only draws not even 2 amps and you can physically see

the difference when it's not turned on ....

 

It has to add a different type of Light Spectrum ...

 

Plus it adds 238 watts of more lights ...

 

It really rough , I'm only getting 674 a month

and my light bill is $250 - 300 ...

It seems to be coming down w/out me having to use

air conditioner now ....

 

I'm fairly happy w/ the results ....

 

I average 4-5 oz's per plant

 

It's really not easy w/ the Hydro Shops

rapping their customers ....

 

Maybe not on every product , But most ...

 

Im just trying to learn and Enjoy what Im doing ...

Nice setup Tarzan, 1000 watters do penetrate a little more but if you exhausted those hoods you could run them a little closer to make up for the penetration. I like the idea of having ballast the with the hood. With the digital ballasts the weight probably isn`t to bad. Your ladies look very nice to me for being under 400 watt lights. Keep up the nice work.

with increased lights come risk and reward. i suggest a pro vrs con list, after all evacuations if its possible i would always take the max light per space.

but if you only have 1 circuit to use, then 4 1000k plus fans and ventilation maybe is not possible. you would want to keep in mind wire temp and load limits...

i think your yield is awesome looking relative to the setup! and they look clean, happy, and well fed!

So Im pretty Greatful for what I've got ...

 

Yes Jane helps me keep the floor bleeched

Should give me a total of 2400 + 238 = 2,638 watts

in my 9 X 8 Grow Room ...

 

My last Harvest of Black Queen was almost 6 oz's

if my buddy has a bloom room w/ 2 - 1000 watt hoods

thats not 2000 watts in his room ?

 

and mine has 6 - 400 that's NOT 2400 watts in that room ?
