My Raid By Swat (Omni) This Morning Some Things I Learned That May Save Your Life.

This is coming from a very tired and exhausted individual...

 

I'm just now able to sit down and type anything..

 

I am in Lenawee county and am 41 ,,I'm a patient having a degenerative and worsening lower spine from birth.

I also a caregiver for 3 others including a police officer's mother who is in terrible condition.

 

My ambition in writing this is to share my observations, recollections,and frustrations that almost cost me

my girlfriend and our dogs their lives this morning.

 

First a word about myself so as to paint a picture...

I am an out of work engineer having spent the majority of my career traveling internationally installing

multi million dollar gear cutting assembly lines for a major German corporation,I served in the Navy on the

USS Abraham Lincoln as a plankowner (original crew to a new ship) and was a machinist during Desert Storm.

 

I currently do custom tile work as there are no jobs any longer in my field available you know about it

if you live in MI.

 

I also happen to be a caregiver and my live in galfriend that I have known since elementary works in the

ER critical care unit at the local hospital,she is also a patient for her migraines she's had since childhood.

 

 

We have never been in any more trouble than a misdemeanor on my account..posession of MJ many years ago.

 

 

 

I had a helicopter hovering over my home monday night at 10:30 pm for 13 minutes at about 200 ' in altitude.

 

My neighbor next door watched it from his porch ,, it had no light on and was blacked out,but the audible

signature brought him outdoors to investigate and observe.

 

I was unaware as I was laying in bed with earphones on and my laptop perched on my lap,my gal watching TV next

to me...we never even knew..

 

 

The next morning my neighbor told me ,,and was freaked out saying that was not normal,,I quickly agreed and said

no doubt it was a FLIR investigation..

 

I have some new genetics that are seedlings for my patients from Mr Nice (Shanti) that I was not about to risk losing

so I relocated them and other cherished moms that are my prized creations from my breeding to safe locations at other

licensed caregivers homes.

 

I was under my limits at that time and now as at 1/2 or less of my allowable numbers.

 

I waited for the inevitable as I'm no dummy and know what was coming,,

 

I made it a point to call a good friend of mine that I graduated with and is a MI State trooper and undercover Narc

officer my gal and I both have known him forever,,he was unavailable,,so I left a message ,described what was going on.

 

And that I was wanting to avoid any Swat style entry into my home and that we were both concerned for our safety as we are

legal and welcomed a normal inspection if anybody so wished..

 

 

Fast forward to Thursday morning...

 

 

I have the day off as I wait for a new tile job to start this weekend of all times,,my gal has the day off from the hospital

we have a nice breakfast together and I take my coffee downstairs to my newly built Bio RDWC room that I have been building

to do some final tweaks and get it running precisely.

 

 

My gal decides to spend 20 minutes in the tanner in the next room downstairs as well,,the weather has been bad and we all could

use a bit of sun,,not just the plants..

 

 

I hear my dogs upstairs go berserk and a bunch of footsteps and people yelling,,I couldn't make out what they were yelling ,but

I took note that there were multiple people..

 

 

We have a group of men in the area invading homes at gunpoint in ski masks ,tying up the people and raping the women and robbing

the residence,everybody is on edge because of it and most have a loaded gun in reach waiting for these creeps to show up.

 

 

I know my 45 acp is upstairs next to my pillow,,I'm downstairs,,I walk around the corner to the stairway and look up to see a

man in black wearing a ski mask and a 45 submachine gun aiming at me,,a laser dot on my chest and saying get your hands up..

OK I'm ready to continue,,had to get my daughter to bed for school and have a drink..

I'm trying to relax,,the whole ordeal was pretty dramatic...stressful etc..

 

The Black swat ,star wars character at the top of the stairs had my utmost attention

as I looked up the massive black hole of that muzzle,,laser bouncing around on me.

 

 

I raised my hands quickly and said I have no weapons and that I am coming up the stairs

towards him, I told him I was no threat so please aim the muzzle away from me .

 

I was up the stairs and turned the corner with about a dozen guns on me,,,lasers all

over just like the movies,,,there were at least 12 tactical officers in my home drawn on me.

 

I was placed face down on my hardwood floors and cuffed in seconds...

 

 

The shock and awe tactics they practice regularly were very convincing,,,I can't imagine

anybody dumb enough to resist that kind of an environment,it would be sheer suicide one

fast move on my part of any extremity.

 

 

My dogs continued to go crazy ,and I looked behind me and they had my galfriend now escorted

up the stairs with a laser dot on her chest , lay down on the floor in her robe face down in the kitchen.

 

 

 

They didn't cuff her , I asked them to please not shoot my dogs as cops are so famous to do

as of late,,they agreed to let my gal take them out to the barn after clearing the house .

 

 

Clearing, meaning assurance no threat existed,,,,and with that kind of manpower and weapons

I can't imagine what threat they could worry about,,but it's standard protocol.

 

 

I was lifted up and seated on my couch,,,noticing dog tinkle all over my floors as the guys scared the bunny muffin

out of my dogs..

 

 

I was approached by an officer and read my Miranda rights,,,I declined to answer anything after that

and said I'd rather my attorney talk about any details with them as I was legal and not enjoying this

visit at that time.

 

I at that point was told that they had been authorized a search warrant on the grounds of a tip

and that I could read the warrant which I did,and then asked the obvious question...

 

 

"Are you guys aware that I am licensed,and legal?"

 

They replied NO...

 

I asked why in the hell not

 

They then went on to explain how they cannot attain information as to my status of licensing by the state

and therefore if I was legal or not.

 

I was furious....

 

I said " How in the hell in this day and age of no privacy and info on everybody can they not be allowed to

determine an individual's status by the state,,the very state that pays these guys,,,and our safety and lives

are at risk over this very simple piece of info...?"

 

 

The officer I was speaking with said it simply isn't available to them and that he tried until 5:00 pm

wednesday nite to obtain that info and was unable,,due to the Dept of Health refusal to submit Hipa law

protected documents..

 

 

He was then provided by my girlfriend the photo copies of all 5 licenses,doctor's paperwork,cashed checks by the state

etc...

 

The cuffs were removed shortly after and the whole environment changed at that point..to a more apologetic

and dare I say friendly atmosphere?

 

The whole time this was going on there was a plethora of officers rummaging through every corner of my home,

garage and pole barn,,,and I mean every drawer in my bedroom ....

 

The front yard looked like something out of a movie,,the big swat RV that you could load up 20 guys and drive

to florida in comfortably,,state police cars,trucks with horse trailers the undercover guys drive...

 

They were tipped off and I say that with extreme sarcasm,,,should say "lied to" by a yet to be determined

scumbag claiming that I had a massive grow operation going and that I was raking in 10 grand a month...

 

Pure and utter bunk,,,I can barely afford to make my mortgage every month...

 

After verifying the amount of plants that I can legally have and counting them ,they said I was ok with the

amount ,and apologized and said they just needed to verify my amount of dried herb and I showed them the

miniscule amount I have on hand,,a whopping 3 ounces for 5 patients...

 

 

They then dismissed the bulk of the officers,mainly tac ,entry guys and kept the talkers around to discuss

my many questions.

 

 

I'd like to say one thing ,and this is the truth,,these guys and young men were all extremely professional

mature,and actually pretty neat guys that I'd enjoy fishing,playing poker or havin a beer with..

They didn't break one thing,damage my property,and even put things back where they found them...

That my friends isn't the norm....so hats off to Lenawee OMNI ,,you guys are a cool unit!

I'm really impressed with them,,they are not the typical donkey rectum cops that you read all the horror stories about

I'm actually proud to say that's because most of them went to high school and grew up out here in these small rural

towns where I have lived all my life and it has a way of molding you into a decent person...

 

Sorry ,but that's just my opinion...

 

 

OK so what is the problem??? the problem is the system..go and figure..

The local police ,sheriff and even state police posts don't have access to who is registered and licensed.

 

I spoke in great detail about this with them,,,they hate it as much as me..

Don't believe fr a minute that just because you are licensed that they (local police) are aware of it

They are not..

 

Somebody,most likely my maggot faced neighbor who has adjacent property to me and I loathe him,most likely

seen me carrying a tray of young plants to my garage where I keep a mother room,,,ratted me out and threw

in the 10 G BS as a kicker! I'll bet ya 2 beers...

 

This lead to a FLIR reading,on taxpayer's money and a search warrant on taxpayer's $$$$

and the possibility of me and my gal being shot to death..accidents happen in these type of warrant

executions every day and the cops walk free,,we all know the score...

 

That's how it went down friends....all of you are 100% liable for this very thing to happen,,

all it takes is a tip from a UPS guy, a nosy donkey rectum neighbor,a pissed off ex, anybody wanting to

exact revenge...you are in danger..

 

The police told me they need somebody to come forward to establish an organized movement to get a change done

immediately,,get a line of communication open to the community and register patients and caregivers with the

local level law so they can ignore ,,,anonymous tips, high electric bills,strange smells etc...that all lead up

to an investigation and swat style invasion.

 

 

They will simply call you to set up an inspection if they feel it's necessary ,he said usually never as they are

busy with actual criminals and drugs like Heroin and meth is what they are really concerned with...not pot.

 

But they need to know who is licensed,,,bottom line,,,and they do NOT!!!

 

The box that you checked on the form that allows them that info is only for after you have your license and they

pull you over for example and you provide it at that time,,they do not know you have this status beforehand..

Therefore you may be raided and accidentally shot!

 

 

They apologized for all the crap,,promised I'd never see them again as I was obviously playing by the books

and no charges were even considered...

 

 

 

 

There were a small number of these OMNI officers who have been trained by a RCMP from Canada extensively about growing

so they are aware of the ins and outs,,and this is great as they use common sense and actual good judgement with regards to

the different stages of growing..

 

They did not count any cuts in the aerocloner with no roots,nor cuts in rockwool etc w/o roots..

 

I explained how we need a decent selection to choose from and use the healthiest cuts and toss the others that are less

appealing ,,,he agreed...he was the guy in charge..This was promising.

 

 

I'll be active with the officer that asked me to work with him to get an article in the newspaper locally to get the word out

to people,,you've already made the commitment to be legal,and get registered,,now protect yourself and your loved ones including

your dogs by letting them know who to bypass when they are identified as growers ...

 

Remember you are legal,and their job is to protect the laws on the books...

They don't give a darn about us growers going by the book,that's their words....

 

Be safe and don't go through the hell that I went through..

Not all cops are as good as these guys were ..you don't wanna end up with a warrant served in the fashion I was

by some trigger happy , retards with a uniform....you may not live to tell about it.

The door was not broken down ,as it was open,only the storm door was closed but not locked so they just opened it and let themselves in,my gal and I was downstairs

at the time,it was noted that a battering ram was held by one of the tactical entry guys as I was able to look at all of them once up off the floor and placed on my couch,so if it was locked then my mahogany and stained glass door would have likely been demolished.

 

 

I'll try and answer the actual sentiment of how you guys feel as a whole rather than individually..

Here's the facts that I have stated...

 

Please soak them up..

 

You are already registered at the state level with the Dept of health.

You know damned well that you are allowing yourself to be inspected when you signed on,don't play dumb we all know this is a possibility

You can grow and stay within the legal limits and provide what you need if you are intelligent and efficient,,I'm not even going to

enter into that debate as that is not where I want this to go..

 

There should be no fear of having an inspection ,just stay within your legal parameters..

If you cannot do that ,then don't enter into this deal with the devil..

 

I will tell you for a fact that they were like a parade yesterday ,,I was not the only one hit,,they had already taken down a medical

grower just before me ,yesterday morning ,so who ever that was was raided in the 7-9am timeframe,,,not what you wanna wake up to.

 

This individual was like me not known to be a medical patient until after the raid,,then they were made aware and the people had

eighty something plants and were allowed 36,,this was told to me by these officers..

 

I don't know the specifics about that case other than that,,I can tell you that this parade of swat and support officers went on after me to hit a

few more places as my girlfriend seen them driving down US223 3 hours after leaving our residence,,they didn't all go to the local tavern

to celebrate and have a cold one,they were making rounds.

 

 

There are an overabundance of rats out there people,,in an economy like this where people are broke and desperate you will get the low life

and moral ,classless individuals to drop a dime on anyone in an effort to make a buck.

 

I do believe that a tip line is in place that will reward you for being a good lil rat if the tip leads to arrest and prosecution,,it's

sick ,yes I agree,,,this isn't any different than East Germany and the gestapo,,I have a friend from there at that time,the stories are insane.

 

If you do not let the local police agencies know that you are growing ,then expect this day to come for you

These cops are serving warrants w/o knowledge that you are legal,so they treat it as such...

about?? The cops told me to beef up my security as I am in the process of building a greenhouse out back,and also spoke about staying alert about

criminals,,I'm not worried about them,,now that they are aware of me and we are all on a first name basis..

 

This kind of thing will never happen again,,and he gave me his word.

 

The whole worry of inspections is understandable,,but unwarranted..

 

This is what was told to me by the officer that I will be working with to help out.

He stated that even with this law that they don't have a right to violate your 4th amendment right and that only with a search warrant can they come

to your home.

 

That is how they were able to raid me,,a search warrant was issued after they did a Flir reading on my property after a Tip..

Remember ,they did not have knowledge of me being legal..(there lies the problem),

 

It would have never went any further than the tip leading to a search of their local database to see if I was licensed and then deemed irrelevant

if that data base existed,,it does not.

 

They said they have no time to go home to home doing inspections on people that are licensed nor do they wish to do so..

Do you know how much time a cop spends doing paperwork or making reports?? a bunny muffin load, I know I went to college to be one

back in 92 and have all the credits to be one today,but opted out for an engineering degree instead.

 

 

I'm very curious about this tip as it was reckless and dangerous to me,,besides being a lie,,I'm going to be contacting my attorney today

to see if I can have the accuser's identity and if it's on the warrant,,if it is I want to follow up with legal action against them.

 

It may well be my ex wife who just so happens to work in the local courthouse as a lousy clerk,,I just so happen to be in the process

of fighting to get 1/2 physical custody of my daughter who is now a teenager and wants to live with dad,and my ex is a wicked and evil

witch! It makes more sense that it was her...

 

 

Hope this makes it clear for some of you...you are already registered but you are not safe by any means....

And it's quite honestly not the cop's fault,they are bound by limitations as to what they know and have to act upon procedure and protocol

You are registered with the MI Dept of health only! Big difference..not the cops..they simply don't know.

The cops are worried about their safety as well so they aren't going to send a patrol up to a house to knock on the door

if that isn't verified to be a friendly residence,( licensed residence) as far as they know it is a drug house and a threat

until proven otherwise,,thus the swat raid ,then ask questions afterwards....it's all about safety ...lol!

Say no more, the picture is clear. Your ex has made some friends at work. This same story is told over and over. These custody battles get really ugly and growing cannabis always gets used against you when they know about it. Not right, but it happens a lot. I believe the problem is more close to home and we all do not share your risk. Being open and inspected isn't a good thing for the majority of us. The cops just need to do their job better. I'm not asking anybody to be open for inspection,,,I've stated clearly that the cops aren't

I don't want anybody shot accidentally because they were served a raid like I was only due to the fact that

They don't have the luxury of knocking and talking in any situation concerning drugs

They have protocol to follow and this doesn't include risking officers lives..

We are like minded growers who feel we are no threat to anybody and in reality we are just that.

 

They view us in the whole,,,as in possible threat as drug cartels ,drug houses ..guns

high risk etc..

 

The police environment now is CYA and structured entirely different even being supplied with

full auto weapons as the norm,,,this isn't your parent's leo today.

There are 40000 ppl in michigan allowed to grow MM. They need to start knocking .. The law which i read and understood thouroughly before i registered with the state expressly prohibits inspections. So you implication that We all knew there would be inspections is BULL****. I cant believe you are ok with what they did to you.Cause theyre nice guys???? Nice guys Knock and investigate. I have just spent all this time telling my story of how I could have been shot to death
