How long does a pound of bud's worth of Simpson oil last during aggressive cancer treatment? Two to three months according to Rick Simpson. That's up to half a pound's worth per month, a figure that jibes with the government data mentioned by pic book. I heard their "bud" is awful so it's not comparable at all but somehow they came up with a reasonable figure. The absolute ceiling would be more like Higgins' ounce per day, which makes a half pound per month sound pedestrian.

It's the edibles and especially the oil that will drive the total weight up the most/month. A patient may develop a much higher tolerance than another, this is an important variable. Then they may supplement w smoking and IMO about 1/2 ounce/day is v difficult to exceed, 7-10grams may be more accurate if they supplement w oil. Vaporizing IMO would use slightly less than smoking, because of it's efficiency and difficulty to chain-vape like you can with hand rolled mmj cigarettes.

 

The tricky formula is figuring out how much flower material is used to make the oil... It is a tremendous amount. Ask growers what their return capture amount on oil is. I'm not an expert at this but I believe it is only around 1/4 the dry flower weight.

Ok, here is what I am going to do, I'll research and document the fed program (8.3 per month), look at the estimates for simpson oil, note the recent rulings on medibles.

 

My basic impression is that 1 oz per week will handle most patients, but amounts of 8.3 oz per month are deemed reasonable by the feds, more is needed for simpson oil in cancers, and amounts TWICE these values are not unreasonable.

 

Comments? What kind of holes would you try and shoot in that as a prosecutor (and what answers would cut you legs out from under you?).

My Doctor has 3 to 5 grams daily on my meds page when I visit him for my check ups. It also says how much and how often for all my meds.

The Federal Government has determined a proper amount of medical marijuana per month is between 7-9 oz of 7% thc cannabis.

 

I personally will use their number for amount smoked seeing as they deliver it in pre rolled amounts.

 

That would number increases as you move into other categories of consumption such as oils and medibles.

 

I consider the 2.5oz number to be a weekly amount in my personal opinion.

I prob use rite around an oz a month, some times a lil more, I guess it depends on if I vape or roll joints, or use a bowl, it usualy only takes me about 4 hits either way, Im sure i could do more, but id say my average is now about 1 oz a month, When I wasnt getting top quality meds I would prob use double that!

You won't need a ton of plants to make cannabis extract, just make small batches with what you have on hand. As a rule, I get 1 - 2 grams of oil per ounce of cannabis.

just treating pain and stomach trouble. and my two relatives that want the oil also for pain they don't want the buzz. although I fear I might end up with stomach cancer. my doc actualy sent me to the mmj specialist for my stomach but I also have severe spinal damage that was the documented pain problem that qualified me. i have not been diagnosed, nor have any of my current patients...but i know it is a serious problem and on the rise.

it is worth exploring before i or any of those connected to me need it. so i wondered if you had practical knowledge or links to help me with that research.

Fed study U of Miss from 1971 and 1978 says 8.3 oz per month in joints, paper included, is max patient use.

There are a lot of variables. In the end, it can be surely said that it is an amount necessary to titrate to a therapeutic dose depending on factors to include, but not limited to, nature and severity of a debilitating condition, varietal composition, and method of ingestion. I do not recall having seen anything authoritative to date.

 

Maybe it is better to state the case this way rather than to lay out anecdotally imprecise statements that would serve to do little more than paint anyone into a corner,

Actualy I realy think it has to do with age, Im not saying any thing bad, age is what made me get off of narcottics, age is what made me cut way way back on drinking, I forget to smoke, believe me when I do, it dont take long to remember, I make Oil and hash, so im not just doing the buds, I vape alot, It realy doesnt take but a few hits to do the job for me, I dont need more than what it takes to make me feel better!

I have a few hide a vapes, and I like to put my mm in my cigerettes, I roll my own, and that does quite well for me when im visiting family! when Im realy in pain i smoke or eat my bho and I feel no pain for quite a while, get compfy and enjoy net flix if I can keep my eyes open!

 

Yea ok Im turning into a lite weight! when I wasnt legal I smoked in my car, now that im legal I wouldnt think of it! I can go home, break out one of my four vapes, a bong or two, a few of my favorite bowls, or just plain roll a nice joint from bud, no blunts, I dont like the taiste of the papers and I dont need no where near that much to feel good!

It is all trial and error, the prostate is located about a fingers length from the anus and I can put that medicine right next to my problem. I felt that this was a better option to taking the extract orally plus, it doesn't get me high. I won't have another PSA until April or May, I'm really hoping that the suppository will make a difference with my numbers.
