And with Romney dropping quotes like this:

But I'm opposed to it, and if you elect me president, you're not going to see legalized marijuana. I'm going to fight it tooth and nail."

romney is most def a gigantic pos.... we know this though. often times is easier to fight an honest enemy...case in point where americans feel the guy locking up cancer pts left and right is on their side. those same people dont have those thoughts, no confusion with romney. its a shame a simple lie from Obama has confused so many of us, and now i fear we shall be even more divided now that some will say ( ryan will save us) i fear another Obama disaster....but with ryans name on it. so now we all know its a wash with the R and D....drug war fools control them both.

had you quoted me i might have known what it was your talking about. and no thats not sarcasm, i honestly thought you were talking about what i said to mal....  i wasnt dogging anyone ( its ok for her to say "READ", thats not her daily attempt at dogging people for not understanding her logic, or maybe a poor sarcastic attitude?)...she said something, i asked who said it as there were no quotes, and her response was "READ".... so i pointed out how quotations would have helped....</p>

Just curious, why did you assume Malamute was female?

If the only issue we are voting on is MMJ I think Obama is the best choice. When you start looking at everything else it is not such a clear choice. I walk the middle of the road, but I am also a business owner and middle class. Election day is going to be a tough decision for me. Obama will most likely win in Michigan anyway but I am not going to just hand it to him yet.

I think a big part of the problem here is single issue voting. In my opinion, voting for a candidate based solely on whether or not they support mmj is foolish. Our country faces huge problems. One candidate advocates more government as the solution to our problems, the other free market capitalism. Whichever way we go, the consequences will be huge, for good or ill. Unemployment has been above 8% for three and a half years (really over 11%), our debt is now over $16 trillion, businesses aren't hiring because they don't know what their costs are going to be (taxes, Obamacare, regulations), the labor participation rate is the lowest it's been since 1981, when we had a much smaller population, and people continue to lose their homes and jobs. I've been self employed for 32 years, and I have never seen it this bad. I have had very little work for four years now. I've had downturns before, as my business goes with the economy, but it has never lasted this long. As a patient, I understand the importance of mmj to this community, but is our world so small that that is the only issue that is important? This election will determine whether we go left or right, in terms of different directions, not just ideologically. On these forums I have seen liberals support libertarians (or occasionally conservatives) simply because they support mmj or want to end the war on drugs. Yet liberalism and libertarianism are opposite ends of the political spectrum and each would take our country in an entirely different direction. Doesn't that matter, or do we just live in little holes and vote for the candidate, no matter where he wants to take the country, that supports mmj? I think this is entirely short-sighted. Neither candidate supports mmj. As important as mmj is to me, it's more important to fix a broken economy so that I can continue to feed, clothe, and provide a house for myself and my daughter. In this environment I'm barely holding on.

Single issue: Medical Cannabis- Most/Least SUpportive candidates in order:

1) Gary Johnson(Libertarian)- Most supportive because of less post legal regulations.

2) Jill Stein(Green)- Second most supportive because of strong post legal regulations.

3) Peta Lindsey(Socialist)- Third supportive for ending the drug war.

4) Barack Obama(Democrat)- Fourth Supportive because of Patient Protection.

5) Rocky Anderson(Justice)- Fifth for preference of rehabilitation over criminality.

6) Virgil Goode(Constitution)- Wants states to enforce the Drug war, not Federal.

7) Willard Romney(Republican)- 100% for drug war and anti-medical marijuana.

On this single issue, that would be the ranking. Everyone has to make up their own mind.

you failed to show how we are better? wall street may be a touch better...but that kinda goes with the corp whore theme....as for unemployment, a few percent drop is nothing.... real unemployment is still way higher... they play the numbers game....when your no longer eligible your no longer counted, doesn't mean you have a job, it sure as hell doesn't mean your better off. gas ois 409 a gallon, food prices through the roof. I will not lay it all at obammas feet, but we are not better off and if we are i dont see how its connected to obammer.

and if we really want to get away from those failed policies we need to get away from the rep and the dems, they have the same horrible policies destroying our country.

this is a Nat and State issue for us here in Mi the way i see it.

on a National level, i ll be writing in Dr. Paul, Voting for the Best Freedom/liberty based Judge Electorates Fed and State, and in the state, for the most part, I will be running a LIbertarian Vote, or Democratic if no Libertarian is running. But State wise, I will be focusing on beating down the Mi GOP overreach for power, while supporting Liberty and Freedom as I can.

I had looked hard at Gary, but there are some BIG Issues I cant Over look either. Not as many as Obamney or Romnbama, but they are big enough that I ll be Writing in My Vote for Dr Paul this year...
