caregiver123
Ahem. This is not some scam, etc. This is a meeting publically announced by the City of Parchment. The date and time of this “forum” is displayed on the marquee in front of the City Hall building. I have searched, but cannot find any details about the purpose of this meeting, etc. thanks to all intelligent replies.

It's one of those meetings where they talk about potential business opportunities for the major suppliers for the dispensaries. It's happening all across the State. They are looking for bribes for applications.

With no guarantee your application ever gets approved at the State level. Pretty expensive toilet paper .... It's a scam like I said earlier. It's a fish hook with many barbs on it. mishigami bear
The size and scale of these "Medical Marijuana Industrial Parks" is simply unsustainable. There is going to be too much money invested in too many facilities to produce too much product for too little market. It's just simple gardening to grow a plant to harvest and process the herb. A $20 million facility is not required for something that can be done in closets. But many people in many towns want to build them. medmanmike
AmishRnot4ganja
Competition reduces prices and improves quality. Trend seems to indicate that we will have good stuff at low prices. Hawt Dawg!
Restorium2
Excess overhead raises prices and creates a desperate situation where very powerful people want their capitol back any way they can get it. Forced monopoly comes to mind. The prices will be whatever it takes to pay all these bribes back, on top of what we already know it takes to make a good bag of buds. I can't see any savings these big grows will have, but it sure is easy to see where Johnny Come Lately Warehouse Grower is going to be praying their crops are great cycle after cycle after cycle. They have no clue what they are in for. If you have been growing for a while you understand that they will still have to depend on all the things we do. The list of problems and mistakes they can make only gets longer with larger grows. There are no short cuts and most of us have cut our expenses to the bone and are lean manufacturers. We don't have closets full of designer suits paid for by our profits now do we? LOL We have camo clothes with lots of pockets bought on sale. And a bank account full of good Karma from not raking people for as much as we can collect. medmanmike, blackhorse and mishigami bear
medmanmike
I'm curious. Is anyone tracking their cost to produce an oz?

bobandtorey
I can say pounds of cannabis went for 5,000 dollars for top sleeve just 10 years ago and now its below 1,200-1400 for flower
Restorium2
More like $500 to $4000 depending on the quality. There's a very wide range of cannabis out there. To put it all in the same price range is rather insulting. Sporteli
