So I have a illness I was born with that is is in line with a more recognizable name of hemophilia.. mine is a bit more rare and severe but along the same lines.. I bleed and don't clot. So I'm not supposed to take basically anything over the counter Motrin, aspirin NSAIDS.. things of that nature due to the fact they have a negative reaction to my disorder.. they make the blood even thinner than normal. and im far from normal..

So I did something not sure what to my knee its three times the size of the other, I had water on the knee before its a similar look and pain. anyway I feared to a internal bleed so gave myself a $20k home infusion to prevent internal bleeds. and went to the er. preparing for help.. these guys didn't even touch me took 2 xrays gave me a shot of something that hurt like no other he said muscle relaxer, but I don't know..He sent me home,  with still not checking my blood levels or even feeling or examining the effect possibly internal damage.. wrote me a script for 2 5 mg pain pills and a script that I'm allergic to ??????????

says write on the prescpition he wrote don't take if allergic to aspirin NSAIDS.. Says know allergies aspirin etc ect

 

I'm a bleeder, hospitals have no compassion.. I dispse going this is malpractice if you ask me or just plain lack of care ing... if your just going thru the motion unhappy and don't give a bunny muffin quit your job.don't make my crappy painful donkey day/life even worse, on top of that prescribe me something exactly the opposite of something that would help why I was there.

I know 100% there is something terribly wrong with my knee, its my body I KNOW IT BETTER THAN ANYONE, ssomething is def. wrong, So why would they just dismiss me like this and write me something like this?

This pic was days ago, at this point today you cannot see my kneecap all anymore and I have to lift my thigh area to move my leg up and down..and you just send me home once this week for back spasms at RO beaumont and was just giving a shot and sent home no interaction or images anything just a fkn dope shot and discharged, now my my second trip to a er this week for my knee and its the same ole same ole.. but this one could be dangerous..

What is the most important information I should know about Anaprox-DS (naproxen)?

You should not use naproxen if you have a history of allergic reaction to aspirin or other NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug)

After going through horrendous doctors/nurses with my mother's cancer, I can say I feel you pain.

 

I expected a lot more from the medical community. I thought that these people were the cream of the crop. I have seen uncleaned blood and all manner of bodily fluids lying on the floor in the surgery waiting room - while the nurses were loudly watching Maury. Doctors that could barely communicate in english, spotty med records and lost paperwork, and overworked/overtired staff. I always thought that last part was funny, overworking and long shifts are just a part of practicing medicine. Ironic because they, more than anyone, know exactly what that does to your body and abilities.

 

Of all the places I've been to, the University of Michigan health system was by far the best. It was SUCH a relief when I finally got my mother into that system. And it was NOT an easy thing to do, either.

pharmacists catch some of these problems, especially if the computer does it for them.

 

e.g. doctors prescribe extra strength horse tranquilizers for a 6 month old baby. it happens all the time.

 

unfortunately, the medical malpractice law in michigan has been evicerated. theres basically nothing you can do to a doctor or healthcare worker. every case goes to a panel of doctors for approval / denial. also, the max you can get out of it is like $500,000. minus lawyer fees, what are you left with? nothing.

he didnt tell me what was in the shot either!

 

gotta watch out, these doctors are tricky.

The Laws that protect Hospitals and Doc are unbelievable I've tried to sue them one time and trying to even fine a Lawyer to help do it is almost impossible

thats because the medical malpractice lawyers saw the change in law and fled to other states.

if you're a medical malpractice lawyer who can get $1mil or more , would you work in a state where its capped to $500k ? and theres caps on how much the lawyer can get (i think 30%?).

I have no patience to sit around and wait for rejection.. thats one of the main reasons that I quit the pain meds. I would see so many differant dr's  with referral after referal and they would allways change my scripts judge me etc.. I'm over it.. but this is/could be life threatning??????I told them I just gave myself a blood transfusion at home just before coming here.. tried to explain It should be high priority due to possible internal bleed yanno.. it took 1 1/2 hours before I was even called back..  30ish yr old doc didnt even touch me honestly he barely put both feet in the room, he basically stood in the doorway, and said he was getting xrays and a shot to relax me.. RELAX yeah right hurt like a beech and did nothing to "help" I don't know where to go??????????????????? I need a MRI not a freaking xray, not your stupid overpriced 5oomg vics ..I need help not your drugs!

Swear to god, I'm just laying here watching this happen cause I don't have a clue where to go now. everywhere I go the have my records and see I'm a real d1ck at times and had a addiction in the past so they just look at me like a young dope fien least thats how I feel.. life threating illness and I have so much anxiety, about rejection I would rather sit here and die... I honestly have to call my mommy to go with me or they just shut the door and treat me like a child..

I'm not sure why its so swollen.. water on the knee looked similar when I had that years ago, but this feels like a torn tendon or something super hot to the touch like a infection pains shooting around the kneecap like under it next to it my toes are freezing cold right now with socks on its just that foot my left is just fine and toasty.... I asked the DR. that same is it so swollen? I didnt get a answer worth remembering cause his azz didnt even come in the room far enough to give a honest answer worth listening to.. I know its not right I never should have been discharged like I was. I cannot walk cant straighten it out.. ehh sorry Im going to quit beeching

I should turn my cell phone on record and take it in to get filled.. its in plain English right on the prescription itself that I'm not to take anything like that..

Your 32 yrs old, you go into one of the best hospitals (supposedly) with a knee that looks like its ready to explode and they do nothing?  There is most def some kind of fluid on the knee that needs to come out (im not a dr)  dont they usualy stick something in there and drain it? or is it because of your ailment that is not recomended, I know when I get water in my ankles and feet I have been given pills to get rid of it, (sorry it hasnt happened in a long time so I dont remember the name of the script)

 

It just sounds so crazy, that you actualy feel the need to bring your mother so they will maybe take you serious, I most definatly was an addict to prescription medication, that they wrote for me month after month yr after yr, methadone and xanax a pretty deadly combo in itself if both are abused at the same time! and the dr.'s didnt know I was buying them on the street also!

 

The one thing I never did was call my dr. early for meds or call and say some one stole them, I waited till it was the time to refill or get a new script, as you know methadone cant be wrote with a refill, so you have to get your rx handed to you from the dr. or some one in the office, when I 1st got on methadone they were on a 3 page script, it was different than the other meds he wrote me,

 

I am so sorry to hear about your problems, I cant tell you how bad it makes me feel, and im sure there are many more out there just like you, who get screwed by the system, I dont do pain clinics, I never did and I have no use for them now, I use mm for my pain meds, I do have to do a couple of pills for my depression, my mm just dont do it, and after so many yrs of being disabled, I was getting pretty hard to live with!  so I had no choice, and it took a few try's but I have a real good mixture of meds for my depression and anxiety, I take one in the morning and than a different one at nite, some kind of booster pill, and I prob will have to take them untill all the kids move out lol!

phaq, your honesty is admiral, and I applaud your recovery. I know dads and moms, friends and family, that carry your past burdens daily still, with methadone in the mix. when did they start rxing for pain with methadone anyways? What would they give a heroin addict for pain I wonder?

 

like giving a nail biting hyper kid methamphetamine...hey wait a minute, they do that now too !!  we are fugged, good thing too, otherwise we'd be fighting tooth and nail against all these injustices in our world causing us to bite nails, get depressed, not heal, and be angry........could there be a solution?

Really no joke, they just sent me home with nothing but a renewed disliking for Dr's... I'm sitting here staring a a fifth and I don't drink if I did I most def couldn't even attempt to drive to a hospital. I need something to control my pain and anxiety.. I wish it was still legal to have MM delivered or to be seen by a DR without Judgment..

Jim, the dr's are the ones that began my addiction long long ago.. I have had scripts of norco/lorcet since I have been in my teens.. around 19yrs old I was placed on fentanyl and oxy's.. and its my fault that I became dependent on opiates.. now its my fault, im the doper THEY effin prescribed the sheet I didn't walk in and say please get me hooked/dependent  on drugs..  anyways that way over a year ago since I have seen a Dr, Im allergic to NSAID's, Intolerable to motrin and aspirin due to my blood.. its opiates or bust basically so blah.. I just want to be able to walk and sleep.. I think I have slept maybe 1-4 hours going on 3 days

lOL I swear I'm with you, and others when they give solid advise and suggestions.. I always seem to rebuttal back with "been there done that didn't work"

I do that because what is suggested has been tried and tested with negitive results.. Oakwood refused to treat me due to my MM use (medical records) R.O Beaumont has me blacklisted due to my outburst and threat of violence against their resident azzhole Dr D!CK was the phrase I used for him (escorted by dogs outside) I was in Troy Beaumont Tuesday I think for my back they just gave me a pain shot and sent me home said it wasn't worth setting up a IV and wasting my night to come to the same results they already had my back is toast awaiting surgery.. I'm downriver So Troy Beaumont is out of the question way to far of a drive.. Henery ford out here was the only one I could stand driving to and Ive stated their outcome.. I forgot to mention the Henry Ford Detroit Campus downtown refused to treat with any medication due MM as well.. all though Im not there for medication Im there for help.. relief is "help" but surely they aren't cutting me without a form of anesthesia so Bah hum bug.. The hospitals are why people use street drugs, most know I say it alot heroin has killed every kid I knew growing up.. pain pills equals the start of dependance, then they cut you off cause they have made you develop a addictive habit then they buy off the street then they die..
