Grow And Bloom Times

Looking to find the perfect grow and bloom times to set my timers at. Would love to be blooming faster. Grow I seem to have no troubles as I run 18 on light 6 dark. My bloom I'm 15 dark 9 in light.

^^ A common question and covered in the basics of growing chapter in JorgeCervantes Grow Bible, a book I highly recommend to every first time grower. There are a bunch of these types of questions covered quickly so you can move along on to some advanced growing techniques guaranteed to increase your yields, potency and love for the plant.

If your plants are not finished flowering in the time stated by the breeder your grow room parameters will need adjustments. Temperatures, humidity, c02, light types, air circulation, ph values, nutrient program, pest controls etc all will affect flowering times/plant health. Most of my plants finish within 60 days as expected.

Veg/flower times are sometimes personal to the grower and their habits. Most cannabis growers use no other than 12 hours on/12 hours off in the flowering schedule. I wish I liked 18 hours of light in the veg room, but admit 24 hours gives me better over all results. You will find it difficult to "bloom faster" without reconsidering your chosen genetics. Some will flower in 45 days while others wont finish until near 80 days.

god luck in your garden!

I run 18/6 in veg during the months leading into summer, so the plants stretch a bit more, which seems to prevent bud rot/mold since the buds have some breathing room. Heading into the cold months, I run veg times at 24/0, and the plants don't stretch as much. Lower temps and lower humidity result in buds spaced closer together, higher yields and lesser chances of mold and bud rot.

I'm having the trouble of plants getting 8 foot tall witch is my ceiling height. Wanting to get high yield but bud in a faster manner.I use t5 hoods and the bulbs I get the day light bulbs. I use promix soil and dyna grow and dyna bloom nutes and have for the longest.

How I address stretch is I pull the plants at 21 to 28 inches out of veg and start them in flower if they outgrow the hoods I tie down the main cola into a almost level side to side  position and the buds raise up off the top side of the main stalk and grow upwards.

all makes sense now

seriously....you're concerned about yields and plant size while utilizing t5 lamps, expecting the light penetration to be sufficiently reaching the depths of an 8 foot plant indoors ?

yep, he says t5 lights.

The plants will thrive right up until they reach their weakest resource.

T/5's are suitable in flower with a scrog in my experience, for a single patient messing around. A caregiver could not supply an uninterrupted (grade A) supply to me with T5 flowering. The par lighting is low, penetration is nill, and the plants DO NOT photosynthesize properly, causing all kinds of disorders, delays. The plants may be healthy giant specimens, from stretching for the weak light, but will not produce any worth while product/yields. Doesn't mean it cant satisfy someone.

I've got 11 foot ceilings in my flower room, massive 1000 watt lights with all the trimmings, including 1500ppm's c02 12 hours a day. I can properly supply resources for a five foot plant. Any larger than that and something suffers. doesn't mean I don't grow a tree here and there, or that the bud isn't primo, but the effort was troublesome and not worthwhile(to me)A 7 foot plant with awesome 18" colas is absurd, when the same can be had from a four foot plant without the hassles and wasted energy.

pics please?
